SHEBA’s Pathways to Excellence event brought together students, families, educators, and professionals for meaningful networking and direct access to higher education opportunities. We were proud to participate, with Powell Mental Health serving as a vendor to share mental health resources and support with attendees.

The event concluded with a special President’s Reception featuring Virginia State University President Dr. Makola M. Abdullah and a dynamic Q&A led by Dr. Fleuker.

A highlight was honoring Denise Nappier, Connecticut’s first Black woman State Treasurer, and presenting city citations to both leaders by Councilman T.J. Clarke.

An inspiring afternoon of leadership, legacy, and opportunity. 💙
