💙 Did you know that November is Children's Grief Awareness Month? 💙

Every child experiences grief differently, and yet so many young people face it without the support they need.

This month, you can make a difference. Help raise awareness, share helpful resources, and advocate for compassionate support for grieving children. Share this post to spread the word and start conversations about grief with family and friends. Your voice matters.

Be sure to join us at our Open House on Thursday, November 20th from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in honor of Children's Grief Awareness Day. Learn more about our programs, meet our team, and discover the ways we support grieving children and families in our community.

Grief doesn’t always look the way we expect. It’s not always tears or visible sadness. Sometimes it shows up as laughter that’s a little too loud, or silence that lasts too long. Children, especially, are experts at hiding how they truly feel.

After exploring how our outside appearance doesn’t always reflect our inner emotions, the kids in our groups created these masks to express that mismatch.

Grief can be a lonely place, especially when it’s unseen or misunderstood. This project gave the kids a voice beyond words, and reminds us that just because someone looks okay, doesn’t mean they are.
