CHR’s Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training with Goodwin University!
In March, CHR's MHFA program hosted an Adult Mental Health First Aid training in collaboration with Goodwin University’s HOSA-Future Health Professionals chapter. Thank you to CHR’s Noelle Michaud, MS, MHFA Instructor, and Nuchette Black-Burke, M. Ed., MHFA Peer Trainer, for sharing their expertise with Goodwin University students, staff, and faculty.
MHFA is an interactive, skills-based course teaching adults how to identify the signs and symptoms of a potential mental health challenge. Topics covered in the training include anxiety, depression, substance use, su***de, and self-care, and participants who complete the 7.5-hour training receive a certificate, valid for three years.
