March was an amazing month at Linden House!

The weather allowed us so many chances to be outside, and we soaked up the fresh air!

We celebrated World Down Syndrome Day and Cerebral Palsy Day. Both these days are especially important to us.

We opened our Overnight Planned Respite Services and we are excited to get to meet new people!

All in all, it was a great month here!

March 25th is recognized as Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day.

At Linden House, we strive to recognize it EVERY day.

Not just the disability, but the individual.

Cerebral Palsy affects motor skills and can come with multiple other disabilities and challenges.

But with support and encouragement- they can move mountains!

We’ve seen it!

We are so excited to announce that our Overnight Planned Respite Services are now available!

To caregivers and parents caring for someone with developmental disabilities, we see you and understand your needs.

We are so excited to work together with you to offer an amazing respite experience for you and your loved one.

The reasons you may need respite vary, but what stays the same at Linden House is the highest quality of care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Together with their families, we will provide a stay that supports their individual needs and interests. From medication assistance to meaningful activities, every step will be tailored for you.

If you receive DDA benefits, you are eligible for respite hours. Contact your case manager and let them know you’re interested in Respite Services at Linden House.

It’s the truth.

We are truly more alike than we are different.

And in supported living, we are so fortunate to get to work with people with Down Syndrome and that they choose Linden House to support them.

Every day we can learn from each other, and that is something to celebrate!

February came and went in a FLASH! But we used every day and filled our month with so many good memories!

Some months we do a lot of activities, some months it’s just regular life. Some months are busy, some are slow. Sometimes we are overstimulated, sometimes bored.

For the people we support, every month is varied and different. That’s the goal of supported living. To give people with disabilities every chance to live life the way they want. To support them in the ways they need and feel are important.

Linden House isn’t a facility with a set activity schedule and daily plan month after month. Our days and months are planned together with the clients interests and goals. They take the lead, and we support. That’s supported living.

Here at Linden House, our greatest goal is to support people with developmental disabilities to live a life full of meaning, purpose and individuality.

During the month of March, we bring awareness to these individuals who deserve EVERY opportunity and respect as anyone else.

But it’s not just March. We do this year round, day in, day out. 24 hours and 7 days a week.

Because we believe in them.

We see them.

And above all, we are grateful they choose to share their lives with us.

October was FULL of fun!

We went to multiple pumpkin patches, discovered the had a BLAST at (thanks to ) and capped off the month with a fun costume party!!
