Are vaccines part of your foal prep plan?💗🐴

Ensure your mare and her foal are protected with the right vaccinations! 🐴 💗 Talk to your veterinarian about making sure your mare is current on essential vaccines like EEE, WNV, Tetanus, WEE, and Rabies. During gestation, vaccinating for EHV-1 can help reduce the risk of viral abortion. Before foaling, your veterinarian may also recommend vaccines like Prestige® Prodigy® and Prestige® 5+WNV to support comprehensive immunity.

Curious pets can find trouble in places people do not always expect. National Poison Prevention Week is a good reminder to look around the home from a pet’s point of view.

Common risks include human medications on nightstands, certain houseplants and flowers, chocolate and xylitol sweetened treats, and cleaning or yard products left within reach.

If a pet ever seems off after getting into something, do not wait for symptoms to worsen. Call the ASPCA Poison Helpline below for immediate assistance and notify our clinic as soon as possible for further treatment and guidance.
