The Southern University Ag Center Youth Development agents are representing in Atlanta at the National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals Convention.

Ms. Aralynn Davis and Dr. Charity Schaffer attended the Cultivating Tomorrow’s Innovators session, where participants were challenged to design an invention that students could replicate. Together, they created the “Hoodie Threader 1000,” a creative prototype designed to simplify the process of re-lacing hoodie strings.

In addition, the agents programmed a robot to simulate an emergency response vehicle, demonstrating how robotics and technology can be applied to deliver critical medical supplies in real-world scenarios. The session showcased innovation, collaboration, and applied STEM learning at its best. Ms. Davis and Dr. Schaffer continue to gain valuable insights as the conference progresses.
