We LOVE celebrating patient success stories! šŸŽ‰

Mrs. Pamela came to OT dealing with significant pain, and now she’s back to doing the activities she loves! She has officially graduated from OT with flying colors, and we couldn’t be more proud of her progress! šŸ’Ŗ

ā€œWhen I first arrived here, I could barely raise my arm and was in a lot of pain. At first, it was hard to do the exercises; but Mrs Ginger was very patient and nice with me and cared about how I felt. Everyone here was nice and I enjoyed coming. The therapists here are very knowledgeable and nice. They give you the opportunity to get adjusted to the exercises that you’re given. In the future, this will be if I go to for any type of therapy.ā€

Meet our Therapy Supervisor and COTA, Tarin Gilley!
✨

Ever since she was a little girl, she knew the Lord placed a calling on her life to help others—and she now has the privilege of living that out every day through occupational therapy. šŸ’™

She has been a COTA for 9 years, with 8 of those years spent serving patients at FMC. For the past 7 years, she has also served as a therapy supervisor. At FMC Rehab, she is passionate about more than just treating tasks—she helps patients regain their independence and live life on their terms.

There is nothing more fulfilling to her than watching patients make progress, no matter how small, and knowing that God has used her as even a small part of their journey. šŸ™Œ

ā€œEach of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.ā€ – 1 Peter 4:10

This verse serves as a daily reminder that the gifts God gives are not for personal recognition, but to serve others and reflect His grace. To her, occupational therapy is so much bigger than treatments or progress notes—it’s about being the hands and feet of Jesus in the lives of her patients.

Even on the hard days, she remains thankful that the Lord allows her to use what He has given her to help others regain their independence and live fully. What a blessing it is to be a small part of His work. ✨

Meet our amazing Occupational Therapist! šŸ’™

Ginger Neal began her journey into OT when she accompanied her grandmother to physical therapy and became fascinated by the impact therapy can have on someone’s life. That experience sparked a passion that has now grown into an incredible career—9 years as an Occupational Therapist and 21 years prior as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

She loves that OT is all about helping people live more independently and get back to doing the things that matter most to them. Whether it’s daily tasks, hobbies, or meaningful routines, she’s dedicated to helping patients regain confidence and improve their quality of life.

One common misconception? That occupational therapy is just about helping someone get a job—when in reality, it’s so much more!

OT Month is a special time for her to reflect on why she chose this path: to help people rebuild independence, restore confidence, and reconnect with what truly matters.

We’re so thankful to have her on our team! šŸ™Œ

Meet our Occupational Therapy team šŸ’™

Ginger Neal, LOTR, cares for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on strength, function, and returning to everyday life.

Tarin Gilley, LCOTA, serves as our Therapy Supervisor and works with patients in inpatient therapy, helping them regain independence after illness or injury.

Together, they play an important role in guiding patients through recovery, focusing on real-life skills, personalized care, and progress that lasts!

At Franklin Medical Center, we’re proud to have a team that meets patients where they are and walks with them every step of the way.

April is Occupational Therapy Month!

Occupational Therapy helps patients regain independence in the things that matter most. Whether that’s getting dressed, preparing meals, returning to work, or simply feeling confident in everyday life again.

From recovery after injury to support through developmental or neurological challenges, our therapists walk alongside each patient with patience, encouragement, and skill.

We’re grateful for the difference they make every single day. šŸ’™

ā€œI would like to sincerely thank Franklin Medical Center for providing such a valuable opportunity to complete my Level II fieldwork in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. I am especially grateful to Tarin for the guidance, support, and encouragement throughout this experience. Her willingness to share her knowledge and provide meaningful learning opportunities helped me grow both professionally and personally as an OTA student. I truly appreciate the time and effort invested in my education, and this experience has strengthened my confidence and passion for occupational therapy.ā€ - Kensey, OTAS

Kensey, we loved having you! We wish you the best of luck as you carry on with your studies.

"| started therapy two months ago with constant pain with normal everyday movements. It was causing problems in my work life, and now I'm able to do almost all of my everyday movements without pain or very little pain. The therapists here are very nice and outgoing I wouldn't have chosen anyone else to take care of me!"

Thank you for choosing us, Daisha! So proud of you and your progress that you made with Physical Therapy.
