Glaucoma is an eye condition that can affect vision over time. In simple terms, it’s often linked to higher-than-normal pressure inside the eye, which can impact the optic nerve (the “signal pathway” between your eye and your brain). That’s why early detection and monitoring are important.

Some common risk factors include:

• Increased eye pressure
• High blood pressure
• Family history of glaucoma
• Diabetes
• Certain medications (especially with long-term use)
