Sugar Loaf Senior Living is a vibrant community providing Assisted Living, Memory Care and Enhanced Care to your loved ones.

SLSL opened its doors in October 2012 and has been providing Assisted Living, Memory Care and Enhanced Care services to those 55 and better since. The 79 unit state of the art facility is Winona's newest option for care with a variety of different sized apartments and care suites all designed so your loved one can age comfortably in place.

Our next Employee Excellence winner is dietary team member JJ! he was nominated for the Teamwork award! JJ always greets tenants by name and is described as an attentive, prompt and caring server. Tenants enjoy watching him play basketball on the Sugar Loaf sponsored team and enjoy getting to share in that experience with him.

This week we are excited to feature our current Employee Excellence winners for the beginning of 2026! Winners are nominated by families, tenants and their peers as individuals who go "Above and Beyond"! The recipient of the Quality Care Giver award is HCA- Izzy A. She is described as a warm & compassionate individual who continues to grow and learn each day. Izzy is caring and respectful, always greeting and caring for our tenants with a genuine smile, she makes everyone feel valued and truly appreciated.

Loafers did an amazing job during Crank Day for the Spark Challenge - over 16 miles in total for the week! ✨ Great job, Loafers!

The ‘Loafers were out in the community again! Repeat participants in the Annual “Grocery Grab” benefitting the WVS food shelf during Minnesota Food Share Month- the goal - teams of 2 have 90 seconds to purchase the highest $ amount of non-perishable items while always keeping two hands on the grocery cart! Special thanks to 101.1 The River’s Jesse for assisting us! Look out Fastenal we are already strategizing for next year!
