Northeast Laboratory Services (NEL) is a Maine-based culture media manufacturing facility. Utilizing three environmentally controlled cleanrooms to produce an extensive offering of plates, tubes, bottles, and vials according to FDA and USDA guidelines, NEL specializes in customized formulations and packaging configurations, as well as quality control testing. We have a variety of clients in various laboratory intense industries including pharmaceutical, health care, food & beverage, biotechnology, animal health and education. With two convenient locations in Winslow and Westbrook, NEL remains committed to providing “Answers for a Healthier Environment” by also operating a fully-accredited environmental testing laboratory. Services include water testing, indoor air quality, food and beverage microbiology, and the detection of radon, asbestos, and lead.
