Jeff and I are apostolic leaders of Freedom & Fire Church in Winslow, Indiana, where my counseling office is as well. For 15 years, I was a high school guidance counselor. However, God had been working on my heart to not only counsel with the Bible in hand but also teach people how to read God’s Word and apply it to their lives. I returned to school and now hold the following certifications:

Before working with any client, I administer the Arno-Profile System, which is based on how God created us to be in Psalm 139. The world influences us and we put on a mask, our personality. The APS shows me an individual’s strengths and needs. When these needs are not fulfilled, we turn to our weakness or our sin of choice. Working with this system but more importantly bringing in God’s Word and Holy Spirit direction allows individuals to see the “why” of their behaviors. I have been constantly amazed at how God is using me in this journey. I get to see miracles! My counseling services are private pay; however, clients may send their invoices to their insurance company for reimbursement.

I keep seeing turtles everywhere. We see them on the ride while driving and see them in the water regardless of where we are...

"Turtles are slow and steady and win the race. Their movement is cumbersome on land having to carry a large, weighty leathery bony shell on their back into which their head, legs, and tail can be retracted... But in the water turtles are fast and acrobatic, flowing with the wave of the Spirit. In the water, they have a great ability to ascend and descend great depths. They can breathe the freshness of the Spirit while still submerged in the Word." (A to Z Dream Symbology Dictionary by Barbie Breathitt.

In this season, we must keep moving forward. As we travelled to Texas and back last week, our motto was, "Keep moving." During road construction, we considered it a win if we were still moving. We kept speaking, "Keep moving forward." We were hungry and needed to use the restroom. When we looked to see where the closest was, we realized it was behind us. NO! Our motto is, "Keep moving forward." So, we did!

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].

1Cor 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run [their very best to win], but only one receives the prize? Run [your race] in such a way that you may seize the prize and make it yours!

Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him; Do not fret (whine, agonize) because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be [a]successful.

I see the turtle as us, the ekklesia, with our minds and thoughts on the prize - bringing the Kingdom of Heaven down to earth. How do we do this? Like the turtle. We go into the depths of the Word of God, and stand on its Truth! Then, we go into the water of Holy Spirit who takes us higher into revelation knowledge and wisdom of what God is saying in this season and this hour. As we soar into greater revelation, then we will see the things that God sees, say the things that God says and do the things that God is doing. The key - FOCUS!

In the tortoise and the hare tale, an Aesop fable, the rabbit jumps ahead, gets antsy, bold, daring, cocky, lazy and self-indulgent. He made fun of the tortoise. The tortoise, minding his own business, keeping true to who he was, using his gifts and talents as only he can, slowly, patiently, persistently made his way to the finish line. He won!

We are priests and kings in the kingdom of heaven. We WIN! Regardless of what is coming at us, when we keep our eyes on the prize, we will see VICTORY manifest on this earth!

Dear Daddy God in Heaven,
Thank You for Your Word that speaks of Your promises. We thank You for Jesus who died so that we could have a relationship with You and know Your thoughts and Your ways. We thank You for Holy Spirit who teaches and guides us throughout each and every day. We praise You! Thank You for telling us Your secrets! Thank You for the prizes along and at the end of the race! Thank You for the Biblical cheat sheet in how to run the race! Thank You that You have given us the advantage! Father, we ask You to remind us today and every day to keep our eyes on the prize, to focus on Your Word and to pray in the Spirit. We ask You to remind us to listen to what You are saying so that we know what to do and say. We decree today that Heaven is speaking loud and clear! We decree that we are patiently running our race and bringing the kingdom of heaven into earth! We decree the great awakening is here! We decree Roe v Wade is reversed nationally and in all 50 states! We decree the United States of America is saved in the Patiently Enduring, Keeping our Eyes on the Prize, and Forever Victorious Name of Jesus Christ!

DUBOIS COUNTY

Dear Daddy God in Heaven:

As a minister of the gospel, I thank You for the words, “How will they know without a preacher?”

We plead the blood of Jesus and a hedge of protection over we ministers of the gospel and our families. We commission angels all around us to prepare the path before us. We declare that You have prepared every word and everything we need; you have prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and we cancel all assignments and all forms of witchcraft over each one of us. We bind and cast out all oppression and lies. We decree that we are casting down all lofty thoughts and vain imaginations and challenging them with the Word of God. We command healing and loose life over each minister and member of our family, spirit, soul & body, from the top of our heads to the bottom of our feet. We plead the blood of Jesus over our bodies, our identities, our families, our ministries, our properties, and our finances.

We declare we will no longer bury our head in the sand of fear but will awaken to the Truth of who we are, sons and daughters of the Most High God, priests with access to King Jesus, hearing what Heaven is saying, coming out as little “k” kings with decrees and declarations that shatter the gates of hell. We are declaring what heaven is saying and the Word of God. We decree that we are arising, bold as lions, courageous, and with a loud roar - our speaking and our worship as our weapons. We decree we are preaching what Jesus preached - the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven. We decree that we are experiencing what Jesus experienced in miracles, signs and wonders. We decree captives of fear, depression and anxiety are freed. We decree people who were suicidal rise up with Kingdom purpose. We decree that prodigals are returning and marriages and families are restored. We decree people once addicted to drugs and alcohol are now on a greater high from Holy Spirit fire and the love of Jesus! We decree that the dead are being raised and the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Forgive our unbelief. We decree we are teaching people who they are in Christ, teaching them their authority of King Jesus, the power of Holy Spirit, their call and their purpose, and sending them out to take their position in the kingdom of God.

We agree with the ministers who have gone before us in this country. The black robe regiment who fought fearlessly during the revolutionary war during the week, took their guns off and preached in the pulpit on Sunday. From the pulpits, the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were formed. Our Government’s three branches are based on Isaiah 33:22 “For the LORD is our Judge, The LORD is our Ruler, The LORD is our King; He will save us.”

Pastors founded states, House of Burgesses (America’s first government), drafted doctrines of individual rights and the foundation that civil power lies with the people. These ministers did not just teach principles, they participated on the battlefields standing for Truth, righteousness, liberty and justice. We decree today Father that You have not changed; we have the same Holy Spirit, the same strength, the same courage, and the same shoes of peace. We decree we are taking a stand against unrighteousness and our “pulpits are ringing with the notes of freedom”. (The American Register Magazine) We decree we were born for such a time as this and we are using our influence to fight for our nation. We decree that we are standing on the foundation of The ROCK of Jesus Christ, TRUTH, and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the ekklesia or our nation! We decree that we are the black robe regiment of today!

We decree oneness and freedom! Jesus came to break down the barrier between Jew v Gentile, man v woman, slave v free, etc. Forgive us Father for creating division between and within denominational lines, s*x and color. We bind division, pride, greed, competition and control. We loose unity, oneness, and appreciating each other's gifts, mandates and skills. We decree that we are building and encouraging one another. We are the body of Christ, One with King Jesus. We are the Ekklesia! We are citizens and ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven! We decree that we are changing the culture of the world to reflect the kingdom of Heaven - to think like heaven, feel like heaven, act like heaven, speak like heaven, look like heaven - on earth as it is in heaven! We decree revival begins with me changing my stinking thinking. We decree that we are awakened to the Kingdom mandate! We decree that the awakening will bring transformation to our government, to our laws, to education, to businesses and medical communities, to arts/entertainment, to media, to families and to the Church. We decree that it begins with us, the teachers of the gospel. We decree that it is the role of the Ekklesia to bring transformation into our nation and the nations of the world. We declare that Jesus came to give life - life to the full, life immeasurably and abundantly more to ALL people from conception to tomb!

We decree the great awakening is here! We decree Roe V Wade is reversed. We decree that the United States of America is saved in the Mighty & Powerful Name of our King, Jesus Christ!

Sons vs Slaves in how they see: (5)
1) the Image of God
2) relationship with God
3) Dependency
4) Approval/Affirmation
5) Service to the LORD / Ministry

Today, we will talk about the 5th way in how each sees things in regard to service to the LORD and ministry.

Slaves see ministry as personal achievement of goals. It's to impress God or people. Many times a slave will say "God told me" when in reality it is to please oneself. They are hearing their own voice and not the voice of the LORD. They tend to have an orphan mindset which means they are all alone. Slaves tend to blame God. They get rid of the people in their life who are trying to help them and speak to them. They tend to manipulate and lie. They tend to USE God instead of being used by Him.

Sons serve with a deep gratitude to God for being unconditionally loved by Him. Slaves know that God loves them more than they could ever love themselves.

1Sam 15:22AMP Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obedience to the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed [is better] than the fat of rams.

Romans 6:17 TPT And thanks be to God, for in the past you were servants of sin, but now your obedience is heart deep, and your life is being molded by truth through the teaching you are devoted to

What God really wants is our obedience. As we meet with Him in the throne room, we worship, read scripture, pray in the Spirit and we LISTEN to what He has to say. Then, we DO it. When God tells me something, I need to be mature enough to seek counsel from others who are grounded. This helps me to grasp am I really hearing from God, the enemy or my flesh. God judges me by the condition of my heart. When I am repentant (changing my way of thinking), He forgives me. There is no gap from the moment I confess to the moment He forgives me, and He then moves me forward into His destiny for my life.

Colossian 3:17 TPT Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you!

Thank YOU!!!!!! We love You so much! You died for us! We deserved the Cross as a result of following the kingdom of darkness. We committed treason against the kingdom of God! Thank You that You are a forgiving God, and desire to use us and launch us forward to do Your will and plan to bring Heaven to earth by using US, Your sons! We decree THANK YOU JESUS!!!!! We declare that our obedience is heart deep and our life is being molded by Truth through the teaching of Your Word and Your Holy Spirit revelation. We declare that every activity and every word of our lives is drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. We declare that we are bringing constant praise to God the Father because of what Jesus Christ has done for us! We decree that more will be living as sons rather than slaves! Continuing with Sons vs slaves....(4)

How does each look at approval and affirmation?

A slave STRIVES for praise, approval and acceptance of man. They tend to blow their own horns and need the approval of man. They desire for others to recognize them. They self-promote. We cannot take a city for Jesus if the focus is on self.

A son sees himself/herself as totally accepted in God's love. They know they are justified by grace. Their approval and affirmation comes from the love of the Father. No matter what men say, they choose not to feed off it or into it. They KNOW God loves them. They grasp the grace they have in the ability to reign (basilio). Sons spend time with God who gives them their assignments and are ready to do those things.

We must question what our motivation is.... We must shift into the kingdom mindset of being sons of God, not children or slaves.

1Sam 30:6 AMP Further, David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all of them were embittered, each man for his sons and daughters. But David felt strengthened and encouraged in the Lord his God.

Galatians 1:10 TPT I’m obviously not trying to flatter you or water down my message to be popular with men, but my supreme passion is to please God. For if all I attempt to do is please people, I would fail to be a true servant of Christ.

Dear Daddy God in Heaven:

Thank You that You have called us to be Your sons giving us power and authority to rule and reign on this earth. We repent of having a look-at-me attitude. We repent of jealousy, selfishness, competition and focusing on numbers and money instead of on You. Forgive us Father. We thank You that spending time with You empowers and strengthens us! We declare the joy of the LORD is our strength. We decree that we are not looking at pleasing others but are looking to please You by being obedient to Your direction. We declare that we believe You and Your prophets! We believe that You love us, have empowered us, have anointed us and are calling us forth to align with our call and purpose in our lives. We choose not to feed off of others' opinions. We choose to rise above and look at things from Your perspective. We decree the United States of America is saved. We decree the third great awakening has begun in the Loving and Reigning and Strengthening Name of Yeshua!

Slaves vs Sons (3)
Today we are going to look at dependency. How do slaves versus sons see dependency?

Slaves sees themselves as self-reliant and independent. They believe themselves to be self-made. They tend to fall apart, live in defeat and often struggle. They believe they do not need people and they can survive on their own. Often, they do not see themselves as needing God or have a skewed view on what going to God looks like - kind of like a spiritual vending machine.

Sons know that they are interdependent. They acknowledge that they need others in order to grow into their purpose. We cannot be a good leader unless we are a good follower. We cannot be a good father or mother in the kingdom of God unless we are a good son or daughter in the kingdom. Sons know to walk in their power and destiny. They know that they need people as we do corporate work for God. Sons know that we need Father God! We NEED Him. Without Him, we can do nothing. We NEED Holy Spirit - if we don't believe in Holy Spirit, then how can we know that we need Him? We need Holy Spirit's voice, His direction. We cannot know where to go or what to do without Holy Spirit's direction for our lives. Sons acknowledge when they need help. Sons grasp the need for God to empower us. We grasp that Holy Spirit stirs the gifts within us. And, sons grasp the need for the apostolic, prophetic and teacher anointings to be present in their lives to inspire them into their true callings.

God created us as a body for a reason. There is noone's call that is insignificant, but we must come together as a body to grasp what each other's giftings are and to allow God to teach us how they work together for the purpose of bringing the Kingdom of Heaven into all the earth.

1Corinthians 12:21-26 TPT It would be wrong for the eye to say to the hand, “I don’t need you,” and equally wrong if the head said to the foot, “I don’t need you.” 22 In fact, the weaker our parts, the more vital and essential they are. 23 The body parts we think are less honorable we treat with greater respect. And the body parts that need to be covered in public we treat with propriety and clothe them. 24 But some of our body parts don’t require as much attention. Instead, God has mingled the body parts together, giving greater honor to the “lesser” members who lacked it. 25 He has done this intentionally so that every member would look after the others with mutual concern, and so that there will be no division in the body. 26 In that way, whatever happens to one member happens to all. If one suffers, everyone suffers. If one is honored, everyone rejoices.

LET'S PRAY
DEAR FATHER GOD IN HEAVEN:
Father, we need Your revelation of the need for a body. We decree that You are pouring out revelation onto believer's all over the world for the purpose of grasping that they are needed in a body. We decree that the ekklesia is acknowledging giftings in each person and is teaching and growing them as God leads. We bind any jealousy, condemnation or competition. We loose love, encouragement and working together. We decree that we all have a purpose. We decree that we all need each other. We decree that we all need God the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. We decree that we need His voice and direction. We decree that we are stirring up the gifts inside us and inside each other. We decree that ekklesia is coming into her own to change the atmospheres all around the world. We decree the United States of America is saved. We decree the third great awakening has begun in the Interdependent, Destiny-giving and Powerful Name of Yeshua!

Slaves/Child vs Son (2)

There are two different words for son in the Greek. Unfortunately, our American language does not differentiate between the two so we must dig deeper than the surface of the Bible.

John 1:12 AMP But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—

5043. teknon - always about birth and legitimate birthright.

If you think of how the Pharisees questioned Jesus, it was most often about his birth. Was Jesus a legitimate son? When we are born again, we become legitimate children of God (teknon). This is a LEGAL issue. Until we do this, we are part of the kingdom of darkness. This is based on what Jesus did on the Cross and my receiving Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior.

Romans 8:14-17 For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons (huios) of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons (huios) [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children (teknon) of God. 17 And if [we are His] children (teknon), [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.

5207. huios - this word for son is the word used to describe our character, actions and maturity as we develop our faith.

We must have personal revelation that we are Sons of God with an inheritance, power and authority here on earth! The TRUTH of God must become personal revelation.

The second way to determine our maturity level is how we view our relationship with God.

SLAVE/CHILD - feels like a servant/slave, meek, lowly servant of God in a religious way, We cannot take cities and regions by this way of thinking. Not worthy, a sinner

SON - I can walk in and be in the throne room anytime I want. Just like my house, we invite our family and friends to come in, have a seat, grab something out of the fridge if needed. They are to treat our home as their home. That's God and how He sees things. What is mine is theirs and what is theirs is mine. We know we are loved and accepted. If I am asked to do something, I do it out of the love I have for Him.

Our mind and how we think and perceive things is what I live out, my patterns, principles and theologies.

Dear Daddy God in Heaven!

We love You so much and thank You for the process of bringing us into You as first children and then as sons of God! We ask You to reveal our mindsets, patterns, principles and theologies that are not of You. We decree that we are receiving personal revelation of who we are as sons of the Most High God. We decree that we are sons of God and that we can go in and speak to You anytime we want to! We decree that what is Yours is mine and what is mine is Yours! We decree that we are loved and accepted by You. We ask You to prepare us to say "Yes" to all that You ask us to do! We decree that out of love for You, we will do anything that You ask! We decree the United States of America and Israel are saved. We decree the third great awakening has begun in the Fatherly, Loving and Relational Name of Yeshua!

Today, I want to start a series on the difference between a child/slave and a son in the Hebrew culture. As the Ekklesia, we must have a personal revelation who we are as SONS of God. If we do not have this, we will have a child or a slave mentality.

Galatians 4:7 Therefore you are no longer a slave (bond-servant), but a son; and if a son, then also an heir through [the gracious act of] God [through Christ].

A slave is someone who is forced to work for someone with no payment and no regard. A slave meekly accepts being ruled by someone else. God sees us as a son. We have a relationship with the Father; we are heirs. Before the father would adopt his son, the child was considered no more than a slave. As new believers, we are children. As we grow by studying and praying in the Spirit, then we grow into our inheritance as a son.

The spirit of slavery cannot be cast out. This "spirit" is when we grab ungodly beliefs and have a wrong attitude of flesh that has been developed over a lifetime. We must choose to displace it by putting these thoughts and attitudes to death by personal experience of Father's love and revelation of our own sonship. We must reposition our lives and unlearn many things that we have learned. We must choose to encounter and receive His love and how He feels in an intimate way. These personal experiences will displace the slave mentality and orphan mindset that so many have in the Church today.

In the next few days, I am going to address how a slave sees God and how a son sees Him. Today, we are going to look at how each sees the IMAGE OF GOD. The way we see God establishes our view of ourselves and the world.

SLAVE/CHILD - ownership, master, slave owner.

SON - loving Father, sonship. I may not want to go tell Daddy God that I messed up but I know that He is the safest one to have this conversation with. I know that He loves me. He can correct me and I will not get offended. My desire is to be a better son. I know He has my best interest and my destiny as His guide.

LET'S PRAY
DEAR FATHER IN HEAVEN:

Thank You that You have adopted us into Your kingdom as sons who inherit Your kingdom rule and reign on this earth! Father, we repent of having a child/slave mentality and not wanting to grow deeper and see things from Your perspective. We declare that we are sons of the Most High God! We decree that we want this personal revelation of Sonship. We declare that You love us! We ask that You correct where we have wrong mindsets and a slave mentality. We decree that we will not get offended. We decree that our desire is to be a better son and that You have our best interest and destiny in Your heart. We decree the sonship mentality is the beginning of the third great awakening. We decree America and Israel are saved in the Adopting, Forgiving and Guiding Name of Yeshua.

I wholeheartedly believe that the third great awakening has begun. I am seeing people hungry for the LORD and His Word. I am seeing people wake up to the oppression of the culture we are in. This is all part of it - both sides! We are extremely close to that beautiful gate, perfect timing of coming into the fullness of God's timing. As the Israelites were to leave Egypt, the plagues were getting worse and worse. For Peter, he went fishing right before Pentecost. Thankfully, Jesus met him on the shore so that he returned to his prayerful post. We must be careful in this season not to abort our mission.

I always try to grasp the significance of the spiritual meaning behind what is happening in the physical and vice versa. Since Roe v Wade was passed, as Americans, we are struggling to complete our purpose of bringing the kingdom of God into the earth. Could it be because we have aborted our mission focusing on the things of this earth instead of grasping the kingdom of God? What does that mean for our country as states take steps to reverse Roe V Wade and abortion is reversed? Will we see a culmination of America's purpose come to pass as well? I believe so!

In this season, many are catching the fire of Jesus yet many who have been on fire are starting to wane, give up, and/or enter a season of hope deferred. What can we do? Encourage!

Proverbs 24:10-12 TPT If you faint when under pressure, you have need of courage. 11 Go and rescue the perishing! Be their savior! Why would you stand back and watch them stagger to their death? 12 And why would you say, “But it’s none of my business”? The one who knows you completely and judges your every motive is also the keeper of souls—and not just yours! He sees through your excuses and holds you responsible for failing to help those whose lives are threatened.

Proverbs 13:12 TPT When hope’s dream seems to drag on and on, the delay can be depressing. But when at last your dream comes true, life’s sweetness will satisfy your soul.

Thank You for giving us Your plans and purposes through Your Word and through Your prophets. We repent for our unbelief. We repent for aborting our purposes, calls and plans that You have for our lives. We decree that when the going gets tough, we will turn to You for the courage to get going with true resolve, determination and strength. We decree that we will carry on, move forward, take action and we will not despair. We decree that we are on fire and we will continue to catch the waves of fire! We decree that we are courageous! We are rescuing the perishing and the Jesus in us is saving them! We decree that we are taking every opportunity to preach, heal the sick, cast out demons and bring forth the kingdom of God. We decree the United States of America IS saved! We decree the third great awakening has begun in the Courageous, Strengthening and Birthing Our/HIS Dreams Name of Yeshua!

God’s Journey for me

My husband Jeff, three daughters and I moved to Petersburg, Pike County, Indiana in August 2015. Jeff and I currently copastor Freedom & Fire Church. For 15 years, I was a high school guidance counselor. However, God had been working on my heart to not only counsel with the Bible in hand but also teach people how to read God’s Word and apply it to their lives. I returned to school and now hold the following certifications: *PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling *Temperament Therapist *Commissioned Minister in the area of Counseling *National Christian Counseling Association (NCCA) Membership Before working with any client, I administer the Arno-Profile System, which is based on how God created us to be in Psalm 139. The world influences us to put on a mask, our personality. The APS reveals an individual’s strengths and needs. When these needs are not fulfilled, we turn to our weakness or our sin of choice. Working with this system as well as bringing in God’s Word allows individuals to see the “why” of their behaviors. I have been constantly amazed at how God is using me in this journey. I currently have two offices, Winslow & Jasper, Indiana. My counseling services are private pay.
