Tricia and I roamed about Winsted on Saturday talking with business owners and forging connections! At The Water Wheel, yoga is only part of the story. We’re also building something even more meaningful — relationships and community. Every class, every conversation before and after practice, every new face who walks through the door helps our little studio grow.
We love getting out into the community, meeting neighbors, and sharing that The Water Wheel is here — a welcoming space for movement, rest, and connection.
Thank you for helping spread the word, inviting a friend, and being part of this growing circle. 💙
If you haven’t visited yet, we’d love to meet you. And…here is how to find us! https://thewaterwheel.offeringtree.com/pages/directions

🚶Our Early Bird 20/20/20 is intentionally planned. 🧘🏼Are you wondering why a walk is part of a yoga class? Here are some of the reasons…
Warm-up & circulation – Walking gently gets your blood flowing, warms up muscles, and prepares your body for yoga postures.
Mindful movement – Even a short walk can be a chance to practice awareness: notice your breath, posture, and surroundings.
Energy and focus – Moving first helps wake up the body and mind, so your yoga practice feels easier and more enjoyable.
Integration of body and mind – Walking mindfully bridges daily activity with the movements of yoga.
Accessibility – For beginners or those with limited flexibility, a walk is an easy way to start moving safely.
In other words, the walk isn’t just a warm-up—it’s a mindful, intentional part of the practice, setting the tone for strength poses and stretching to follow. Weather permitting, we will walk the neighborhood around Whiting Mills. If weather prevents this, we will walk the Mill!

Early Bird 20/20/20 at 7:00 AM EDT on March 21 offered by The Water Wheel. If you’re an “early bird”, join Karen for an eclectic recipe of movement! This four week series will include a 20-minute walk to wake up the body. Weather permitting, we will walk outside, including flats and inclines. ...

“I can’t do yoga… I’m not flexible.”
We hear this all the time. Did you know that they mean more than a physical characteristic?
Yoga can be about stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. It’s also about moving your body, breathing, and taking time for yourself but that’s just a piece of it. Yoga means coming home to your self.
Everyone is welcome at The Water Wheel. 🧘‍♀️
