The Universal Repair Kit. 🛠️

In the garage, you use Duct Tape and WD-40.
In the clinic, you use Stability and Mobility.

The logic is the same:
If it should move but doesn’t: WD-40.
If it moves but shouldn’t: Duct Tape.

The nuance lies in the strength, as an absence of strength can create tightness… meaning we use too much WD-40 for a problem that’s actually requiring duct tape.

Clarity in classification is a skill. Build it.

Learning to love your sport again isn’t easy.
But it might be the most important step.

Aiya Webb’s journey is real. From injury and doubt to rediscovering her passion and chasing 21+ foot jumps, this is what stepping into the next chapter actually looks like.

We get into the transition from high school to college track, the discipline behind training, recovery, and nutrition, and how she’s building her brand through NIL and social media.

This is one a lot of athletes will relate to!
Very appreciative of Aiya sharing her journey in sport and so many great insights.

What actually separates a good coach from a great one?

Is it the program? Or how you treat people?

The “soft skills” - Integrity. Effort. Respect.

breaks down what it really takes to build trust, create buy-in, and develop athletes who perform at a high level long after they leave your weight room.

From owning mistakes to mastering communication and meeting athletes where they are, this episode is a masterclass in coaching the person first.

🐻s & ACLs?

This episode hits home for me -

Joining me on the latest episode of the podcast is &
These two are incredibly knowledgeable and work so well together, in particular around the BEAR implant for the ACL.

I’m a huge supporter of the Bear implant and truly believe this can be the future of ACL management. I believe in it so strongly that when my dad tore his ACL, I suggested he inquire about it. He’s now 3 years post op and doing incredible!

In this podcast, Brian, Chris and I dive in deep to provide insights for clinicians and athletes considering a BEAR implant.
From surgical decision-making to early rehab principles, to where the BEAR implant fits, who it’s for, and what clinicians need to understand about managing these cases from day one through return to sport.
The details matter. tissue quality, early constraints, quad recovery, and objective testing all play a role in long-term outcomes.

Run the long game.

Jenna Hutchins has built her career on patience, resilience, and a commitment to getting better year after year. From national records to All-American honors, her story isn’t about shortcuts, it’s about showing up, staying consistent, and developing both as an athlete and as a person.

We dive into what actually drives performance in distance running, the role of strength training and recovery, and why identity outside of sport matters more than most realize.
Very thankful to have her on the most recent episode of the podcast.
Shoutout to for getting us connected

In high performance sport, nothing goes exactly to plan.

Travel gets disrupted, schedules shift, environments change, and the best athletes aren’t the ones with perfect routines, they’re the ones who can adapt in real time. The ones that still find a way to win even when the recovery score is nowhere close to what it should be.

In this episode of the podcast, breaks down what it really takes to prepare athletes for unpredictable environments, how to build autonomy and problem solving into training, and why coaching can’t live in a perfect, controlled setting.

As an added bonus, there’s loads of phenomenal advice for those looking for internships and GA positions in the high performance world. Great listen for all 👀

The performance and rehab worlds love complexity.

New modalities. Layered protocols. Programs that look impressive on paper. Exercises that get thousands of views on Instagram yet no one can comprehend what they’re trying to accomplish.

But if your athlete needs to get stronger, are they getting stronger?
If they need to run, are they running?

Occam’s Razor was not directly taught in my education, but it often came up in discussions over my capstone project with our program chair, Mike Fink.
Occam’s razor is the phenomenon that the simplest effective intervention is usually the right one.
Read that again. Not the most creative. Not the most marketable. The simple one is the most appropriate.

Simplicity isn’t a lack of knowledge. It’s the application of it.

In my opinion, a true expert is not the individual who makes things so complex that no one can comprehend them. It’s the one who takes even the wildest concepts and delivers them in a way anyone can understand while the original message and detail is maintained.

Swipe for my thoughts.

Most clinicians are still guessing.

We rely on tests, patterns, and experience, but rarely do we actually see what’s going on.

MSK ultrasound changes that. It bridges the gap between assessment and intervention, giving you real-time insight to make better clinical decisions, faster.

In this episode of the podcast, I’m joined by to break down how ultrasound is reshaping rehab, from diagnosis to treatment to return-to-play.

Horses and zebras
Lessons for performance and rehab providers - part 1
My story post led to way more DM convos than I expected so I decided to put some thoughts into words.

This analogy originally came to me from Mike Lehr, who I’m thankful to still have as a close friend and advisor.

We’re wired to find the interesting cases.
The rare diagnosis. The complex presentation. The case that we’ll blast all over social media for months.

Yet that’s not the majority of what you’re seeing in the performance and rehab fields, and that’s the point.

The horses not zebras principle isn’t about thinking small. It’s not about skipping steps. It’s about thinking clearly and having the discipline to rule in or rule out probables based on the information you already have.

Swipe for my full thoughts & send to a friend who needs to read this.

She committed to a Division I softball program… before it even existed.

became “Player One,” helping build a program from scratch, enduring losing seasons, and eventually turning it into an ACC Champion and top-ranked team in the country.

In this episode, Peyton breaks down what it really takes to navigate that transition, the role of mental health and asking for help, and how great coaches and environments can completely shape an athlete’s career.

We also dive into her move into professional softball, balancing a full-time role in the NIL space, and what competition looks like after stepping away from the game.
