🍁 Fall Into Healthy Habits 🍁

Cooler weather and shorter days can make it easy to slip out of our routines, but staying healthy in the fall is just as important as ever! Here are a few tips to keep you and your family feeling your best:

🥦 Eat Seasonal Produce – Enjoy fall favorites like apples, sweet potatoes, squash, and pumpkins. They’re packed with vitamins and fiber.
🚶 Stay Active – Take advantage of the crisp air with a walk, hike, or bike ride. Even 20–30 minutes a day makes a big difference.
💧 Hydrate – Cooler weather can trick us into forgetting water, but your body still needs it!
😴 Prioritize Sleep – The season change can disrupt routines—aim for 7–9 hours each night.
🧣 Layer Up – Dress for the weather to stay comfortable and keep colds at bay.

🩵 Let’s Talk About RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) 🩵

RSV is a common virus that affects the lungs and breathing passages — and while it often causes mild cold-like symptoms, it can sometimes lead to more serious illness in infants and young children.

👶 Symptoms to watch for:

Coughing or wheezing

Trouble breathing or fast breathing

Poor feeding or decreased appetite

Fever or irritability

🩺 Prevention is key!

Wash hands often

Avoid close contact with sick individuals

Keep little ones away from large crowds during RSV season

Talk to your child’s provider about RSV prevention options (there are new vaccines and antibodies available for babies and pregnant moms!)

If your child is having trouble breathing, not drinking enough fluids, or seems unusually tired — please call your pediatrician or seek medical care right away. 💙
