Tips for adding more plants to your diet
- start slowly plant foods are digested by your gut bacteria whereas refined carbohydrates, meat and fish are digested by enzymes further up in your digestive tract. So slowly increase fiber to build tolerance
- Rinsing canned beans can remove some of the oligosaccharides and may reduce bloating
- Slow down when eating as salvia contains enzymes that start the digestive process

5 tips to move towards a healthier you
- a kitchen stocked with healthy options for grab and go snacks and on the fly meals such as rice and beans, frozen fruits and veg and fish. Quick pasta with veggies.
- Pinterest boards, saved reels and TikTok’s, also using chatGPT for global meal plans and recipes for fun meals.
- Having tools to handle stress and adding in mindful moments to your day, listening to the birds, watching a sunset.
- Add in nutrient dense foods - berries and nuts and seeds on oatmeal or over yogurt, greens in sandwiches, tuna, sardines, chickpeas in salad. Beans, lentils or barley in soups and stews.
