🎃 Use a pumpkin carving kit instead of your serrated kitchen knives.
🎃 Always cut away from your body with small, controlled strokes.
🎃 Keep the pumpkin top on when carving. One of the most common injuries from pumpkin carving are stab wounds from carvers holding their hand inside the pumpkin.
🎃 Consider alternatives for younger kids such as painting or decorating kits.
🎃 Know basic first aid. If you do get any cuts or scrapes, apply direct pressure with a clean dry cloth. If you have any issues controlling the bleeding or if the injury seems significant, seek care immediately
