Nearly 50 years of faith, fellowship, and friendship every Thursday morning.

What started as a young man's Bible study has grown into a tradition that spans decades. Today, this group meets at Brookridge to share Scripture, prayer, and community.

“It’s a part of our life now. We’ll keep going as long as the Lord lets us live," member Perry Hudspeth said.

Members of Brookridge's knitting club recently made scarves for charity. Every scarf was donated to the Red Scarf Project, which provides care to foster children aging out of the system.

Brookridge's knitting club began this fall, and it's been a wonderful place to learn a new skill, help others, as well as build community, said resident Betty McNear.

"Not only do we knit, but we chat," she said.

🎄Tis the season to celebrate 🎄

Our campus is dressed to the nines in holiday cheer, and the weather has been cooperating with the theme. One of our team members grabbed this video last week when we were lucky enough to spot some snow!

We've been offering a new method of support here at Brookridge since the summer. It's gone so well that we're excited to share it will be implemented at the other ThriveMore campuses next year.

Yesterday afternoon our marketing team hosted a Mix & Mingle event, a Toast to the Season.

Visitors and residents enjoyed a wine tasting from Orsini Wines while listening to music by DDuo Licht

Residents and team members celebrated the holidays together yesterday at our annual Christmas party.

A delicious meal was provided by Chef Shane. Residents baked homemade cookies for the entire party, and also set up a table sharing the end-of-year resident gift, a bonus the residents contribute towards every year.

Our local North Carolina representative visited the Brookridge campus yesterday. Rep. Donny Lambeth toured our community with Executive Director Tatum Myers and CEO Reed VanderSlik.

We shared with Rep. Lambeth about some of our new initiatives, including the Center for Thriving Children and the EverTogether Residence for memory care.

We are thankful he took time out of his busy schedule to learn about our exciting projects at Brookridge.

Our president and CEO was honored last week for his leadership in the area of innovative memory care. His vision has led to a new model of care being built on the Brookridge campus. The EverTogether Residence will allow couples to continue living together when one partner needs specialized dementia care.
