Brookridge residents love to give back, whether serving on a committee, acting on the resident council, being a marketing ambassador or other activities. So last week we honored our resident volunteers with an appreciation lunch.

We celebrated some of our newest residents with a "Newbies Smoothies" event Friday.

Residents gathered with Wellness Director Dana Reynolds in the Wellness Studio to enjoy mixed berry smoothies and make new friends. This was a great opportunity to share tips on settling into a new home, talk for a while, and leave with a special wellness gift.

Residents had a wonderful time at ast Friday’s March social, which featured The Fiddler & The Flutist. They treated us to a wonderful selection of Irish music, perfectly capturing the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day and making for a truly enjoyable afternoon.

For 17 years, Viola Aikens has been a steady source of warmth and compassion at Brookridge. Her love for people shows up every day in the smiles she brings to residents and the kindness she shares with coworkers. Brookridge feels like family to Viola, and we are so grateful for the care, joy, and heart she brings to our community in her role as Healthcare Tech.

Brookridge has such beautiful property! Many of our residents are already aware of it, but the wellness and marketing teams are trying to get the word out about a special nature trail that might have gone overlooked.

The Meadow Walking Path is a beautiful stretch of the Brookridge campus from the meadow to the community bridge. This week the spring weather is paying off and flowers are blooming while green is shooting up everywhere.

The resident-led Grounds Committee wants to spread the word about this lovely trail that's available to all residents to enjoy. In the future, they hope to develop a wooden walk from campus to the new Center for Thriving Children.

Residents from Brookridge attended Moveable Feast this past weekend. They met and talked with interesting authors and enjoyed a wonderful event.

Progress is being made on construction of the EverTogether Residence at Brookridge!

These overhead views show that the residence is taking shape. This is a first-of-its-kind model of memory care designed for residents with dementia and their care partners to continue living together.

It's a unique circular building with units facing out from a central care area. Each home abuts the inner courtyard where extra support is available for the resident with memory care.

We're so excited for this new residence to take shape!

Residents were joined by adorable small animals last week — to the delight of all!

Wild Tails came and taught us about their animals and let residents enjoy the cuddly friends.
