“When Trellis began caring for Mom, I could finally be her daughter again. It was beautiful to witness how the care team could show a perfect stranger such love. I knew I wanted to give back to the people who had given us so much.

My gratitude inspired me to create a team honoring Mom for the Hope Run, Trellis’s annual 5K fundraiser. A few years later, my daughter created her own Hope Run team with friends from Reynolds High School. The funds those two teams raised made it possible for Trellis to care for even more patients.

I have seen Trellis touch many lives, and it all started with the incredible care and kindness the nurses showed my mother.”

As more and more hospice care providers are for-profit, we remain committed to being non-profit. And we are grateful to our donors. Their support means that all people, regardless of access to insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid, have a place to turn - a shoulder to lean on. In addition, it helps us offer layers of support above and beyond traditional hospice care.

As a non-profit organization, qualified patients won’t be turned away for inability to pay. Learn more here: https://www.trellissupport.org/

Each Friday, our volunteers share sweet treats and warm smiles with patients, families, and visitors at our Hospice Home. Camino Bakery recently donated a generous variety of delicious baked goods for us to share. As a community-driven bakery and coffee house in the heart of Winston-Salem, their kindness truly made a difference. Thank you again for helping make the day just a little bit sweeter!

Interested in providing sweet treats to our Hospice Home, please contact Kerri Harville at KHarville@trellissupport.org or 336-331-1740

We are often asked, 'When is the right time for palliative care versus hospice?' At Trellis Supportive Care, we view ourselves as a center for serious illness, providing a bridge of support regardless of where you are in your journey. Just call us, and we’ll help you decide what’s right for you.

Palliative care is support designed for those living with complex or chronic conditions; it provides relief from symptoms and stress at any stage of an illness, even while pursuing curative treatment.

Hospice care, by contrast, focuses on the wholeness of the individual—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—when the goal shifts toward comfort and dignity at the end of life.

Did you know today (3.14) is National Pi Day? This day is usually celebrated with pie (with an E), and it got us thinking about the "slices" of support we offer our community.

When you’re facing a serious illness, it can feel like you’re trying to manage an infinite number of challenges at once. Our goal is to bring all those pieces together into one complete circle of care. Don’t wait to reach out if you’re facing any of these illnesses.
