Here we go, Transformationers,
FOOD PREP time.

I'm keeping it simple this week; baked chicken, baked potatoes and a big ol' pot of homemade chili. Yes, chili, I have been craving some homemade chili!

Lol...with this (3 pound roll of 93%/27 grams of protein per serving) hunk of meat and baked chicken, I will definitely hit my protein goals this week!

Happy Saturday, Transformationers!

Kristy Ainsworth-Redding , Dora Jean Staplefoote Banks and I got it done again today...just separately. Kristy was available this morning and Jean was available this afternoon. It looks like we'll repeat this next week. Smh...the things I do for my girls... 😂!

That's a total of 9.41 miles for me today. My feet are throbbing as I lay across my bed but I'm happy. 😂...it doesn't take much.

Yesterday, someone paid me a great compliment about my body. Instead of accepting the compliment and saying "Thank you.", I put my head down and said "No. I still have so far to go and so much more to do."
As our time together went on, The Holy Spirit asked me, "Miriam, why didn't you receive her compliment?"

Inside, I just shook my head and began to receive what she said to me. Before we parted ways, I thanked her and she started telling me (in detail) about the changes that she had seen over the last several months. I laughed to myself, not because I thought she was funny or I had been silly but because one thing I have always told our kids is, "Whether you know it or not, people are always watching." Those words were never truer than in that moment.

Once we finished our conversation, I thanked God for that interaction. I thanked Him for correction and I thanked Him for placing people in my life who see what I can and cannot see (the good and the bad) through my own personal filter.

Keep going. Don't give up. You never know who is watching...or whom you may inspire.

Wow, it's hard to believe it's been over a month since the last time Kristy Ainsworth-Redding, Dora Jean Staplefoote Banks and I went walking. It was great to be with my girls again.

Today was an interesting day; one of those days where my body took over. This morning, my body chose sleep over working out. When that happens, I just go with it because my body is telling me that it/I need the rest.

Once I got up and started moving around, I did not have time to do my regular Wednesday routine. By the time I finished up with everything I had to do today, it was almost 7 p.m. Of course, my first instinct was to call it a day and climb in my bed but, I made a conscious decision to get my Wednesday workout in instead. And that is exactly what I did.

It is now 9:44 p.m. and I have just climbed into bed and am watching one of my beloved TV shows from the 90's, "The Outer Limits" (an episode with one of my all time favorite actors, Clancy Brown).

It's gonna take time for my body and mind a while to wind down after doing an intense workout so late in the evening but, as far as I'm concerned, it was worth it.

The point to this post? Listen to your body and, once you've given it what it needs, push on and get it done!
