Today at Heritage Woods, our residents had a bee-autiful time getting creative! 🐝🍯

They painted pieces of a real beehive that will soon become a fully functioning hive, all while learning about the amazing process of how honey is made.

Our residents spent the day talking about the little (and big!) things that bring them joy. From flowers and family memories to jewelry, animals, fall décor, travel, and favorite hobbies — each collage told a beautiful story. 💐💍🍂🐾

There’s something so special about seeing smiles light up the room as memories are shared and happiness is reflected on paper. Activities like this aren’t just crafts — they’re conversations, connections, and celebrations of the lives our residents have lived and continue to enjoy every single day. ❤️

Today was such a special day at Heritage Woods!

We had the honor of Ja’Quan McMillian stopping by to spend time with our residents. Not only is he an NFL cornerback for the Denver Broncos ( #29), but he is truly one of the kindest and most humble young men you’ll ever meet.

A proud Winston-Salem native and graduate of West Forsyth High School, Ja’Quan is representing our city in such an incredible way. But what impressed me most wasn’t just his success on the field — it was his heart. He took time, smiled big, listened, and made our residents feel seen and valued.

Big things are ahead for this young man, and Winston-Salem couldn’t be more proud. 💙🏈

What an AMAZING time we had celebrating Mardi Gras with our residents, families, and friends! 💜💚💛 The music was lively, the beads were colorful, and the joy was contagious!

A huge congratulations to our Mardi Gras King, Ja’Quan McMillian 👑🏈 — cornerback for the Denver Broncos, #29 in the NFL! We were honored to have a professional football player join in the fun and celebrate with our Heritage Woods family. He truly brought championship energy to our party!
