This is something that I'm super big on. During the warm months I literally wear shoes so much less that I forget them sometimes when I go to run an errand. Not only is this good for the reasons stated in this article, but our feet aren't made to be cramped in shoes all the time. Take them out and let them expand when you take a step. Gardening is another way to submerge yourself into grounding if you happen to be one of those people that hate not wearing shoes. Give it a try for a least a week when the weather is permitting. I think you'll be surprised by how different you feel. Try to start with at least 30 minutes. The longer the better though.
Grounding or earthing is a type of alternative medicine or care based on the idea that people become ill because they need to balance the electrical charges in the body. According to this idea, you need to touch the earth with bare feet or hands to let these charges enter and leave the body.
