“I am a 68 year old male. I still work a full time job every day. I was referred to have a sleep study because my oxygen level would be low during the night. I was checked for sleep apnea. After having 2 sleep studies I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I was having 30 episodes an hour, where my breathing would pause, and I was restless when sleeping. I was offered a CPAP machine to see if this would help with my oxygen and cut down on the episodes I was having. The first week of wearing my CPAP machine, I could tell a difference. I felt much better, rested, and had more energy. My episodes decreased tremendously, the most now is 0.6 an hour. Many nights I have 0.0 episodes. There are several masks to choose from, I chose the nasal mask. It does not bother me and is not uncomfortable to wear. I am so thankful, and I feel much better.” -Mr. East
