Our goal at Winston-Salem Pediatrics is to help children enjoy quality and accessible healthcare from infancy through adolescence. Your child's health and development is our primary concern. We encourage a partner-like relationship between the physician, patient and parents. This partnership helps to ensure that your child receives comprehensive preventive health care and that parents understand the development processes that are part of growing up. Although flu activity is declining across the county, it remains a high-severity season for children. Of note, 143 children have died this flu season; 85% of those were not fully vaccinated against the flu. In addition to the flu, another vaccine preventable disease is on the rise: Rotavirus. Like the flu, vaccination against Rotavirus can prevent serious illness in children, preventing hospitalization or even death. Speak with your physician about vaccinations, including any questions or concerns you have!
