Kids have a beautiful way of slowing us down in all the best ways. 💛

Yes, letting them help means things might get a little messier… meals take a little longer… and routines don’t always go as planned. But in those extra minutes, there’s connection, confidence-building, language growth, and so much joy.

When we invite little hands into everyday tasks — pouring, stirring, sorting, cleaning, carrying — we’re not just getting things done. We’re teaching life skills, building independence, and creating memories that stick.

Here’s to embracing the slower moments, finding joy in the process, and letting our children be part of the work and the wonder.

Our office will be closed from 12/25–12/26 and will also be closed on 1/1 as we spend time with loved ones and recharge for the new year.

If you’d like to schedule a make-up session, look for an email or text from your therapist! Make-ups are optional, but highly recommended to keep progress moving forward. ❄️💬

Mr. Potato Head is one of our go-to tools for modeling body part vocabulary on AAC. As we build him, we get natural chances to model words like eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, and feet—all while keeping it fun and play-based!

Kids stay engaged, language feels meaningful, and AAC learning happens naturally through hands-on play. 💙🧡✨

Auditory discrimination helps kids hear the difference between similar sounds — an important step before they can say them.

You can do it in everyday moments!
Try asking:
✨ “Do you want the pin or the spin?”
✨ “you want piderman? Who’s that?”
✨ “did you say key or tea?”

These quick questions build awareness, boost listening skills, and make speech practice fun and natural. 💬💛

We are heartbroken after yesterday's events involving children, which have forever changed their families.
