Once in a lifetime, a horse comes into your life and changes it forever—entrusted to your care, your love, and a lifelong journey of mutual learning. For us, that horse is Trouble.

Trouble came into our lives 21 years ago as my daughter Megan’s first horse. From the very beginning, he captured our hearts. The memories we made—on the ground and from between his ears—are rooted deep in my soul. He and Megan shared a special bond built on love and trust, and together they created years of riding, showing, and growing.

Today marked Trouble’s last ride.

Tomorrow begins his well-deserved retirement. It’s bittersweet—but it’s time.
Trouble devoted his life to teaching. He helped countless children and adults learn to ride safely and with confidence. Always steady, always patient, always kind.

Now, dear friend, this is your time. Time to rest. To graze freely. To be loved without expectation. To enjoy the sun on your back and your pasture mates by your side.

Next year, Trouble will turn 26. And I hope the years ahead are filled with peace, comfort, and the same love you’ve always given so freely.

We love you, Trouble. Thank you for everything!
