With SNAP benefits currently unavailable for many families, access to healthy food is more important than ever. That’s why We Care of Central Florida created the Ride-to-Wellness Program, providing FREE weekly Uber Health rides to local grocery stores and food pantries for Polk County residents in need.

This program helps individuals and families without transportation get the groceries and nutrition they need to stay healthy. 🍎🥦

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Women's Resource Center of Winter Haven hosted an informational session from its Independence Program. During this session, Polk County residents received important information from our staff about specialty services available through WeCare of Central Florida.

The Women's Resource Center of Winter Haven assists over 4,000 women annually. They seek support for essential items such as clothing, food, personal hygiene products, housing, and utilities, as well as long-term assistance in achieving self-sufficiency. Visit www.wrcfl.org for more information.
