She's a member of the ED Observation team and was recognized by a family member of a patient for her care and extra efforts in comforting family members and ensuring they remained updated on the patient's condition. Our hospital is now providing the renal denervation treatment for high blood pressure. The innovative procedure targets nerves near the kidneys that can become overactive and cause elevated blood pressure. During the minimally invasive procedure, the doctor inserts a very thin tube into the renal arteries and applies thermal energy to disrupt the nerves. https://bit.ly/3QmAvsk

Dr. Alina Ladha is board certified in family medicine and joins the BayCare Medical Group practice at 7599 Cypress Gardens Blvd., in Winter Haven, Florida, where she sees patients age 2 and older. Dr. Ladha helps patients maintain their best health through preventive care, managing chronic conditions and promoting overall wellness. Our Women's Hospital was busy on New Year's Day. A pair of twins provided a double blessing to their family! Sisters Aylani and Ailanna were born at 2:14 and 2:15 in the afternoon, respectively. Aylani weighed in at 5 pounds and 3 ounces, and 17.5 inches long. Little sister was at 5 pounds, 1 ounce and 17.75 inches! Congratulations to the happy family!
