Hello all~ I am offering this on 8/27/22 for the last time this year!
In 1986, I helped pioneer the ACOA/Codependence Movement here in Central Florida and opened up the Adult Children of Alcoholics/ Codependence Treatment Center. This is an ACOA (PTSD/trauma-informed) experiential/psychoeducational training for therapists and clients. It can be taken by you as a trauma-informed workshop (or training) for you to deeply understand ACOA/Codependence issues and the CPTSD/Trauma that growing up in these homes can cause.
Of course, let me know any questions. This is presented in Winter Park, FL. The cost below is our discount for a check/cash and includes the CEUs. If you need any help working out payments, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Hello all,
The last two years have been so very challenging. All of this chaos, uncertainty and pain has triggerd so much trauma for everyone and certainly for the LGBTQ+ community.
This PRIDE weekend, in the spirit of healing trauma and reclaiming conneciton and happiness, I am co-facilitating a workshop with my colleague Lindsay Kincaide specifically for the LGBTQ+ and ally community in Central Florida.
This workshop is about healing the trauma that stand between you and your happiness, connections and loving,healthy relationships. This workshop also severs as a trauma informed training for therapists (7 CEUs) who want to expand thier therapeutic skills to the LGBTQ+ community.

We are ecstatic to announce that Katie Horton has joined the team at the Center for the Healing Arts in the Winter Park/ Maitland area!
Her specialized areas of expertise include LGBTQIA+, Transgender/Gender Identity Issues, Coming Out, and The Journey of Transitioning. In addition, being transgender herself, she brings a depth of clarity and understanding in working with the transgender and gender expansive community. She also has expertise in working with all ages (from 11yrs old through seniors) using creative tools in assisting clients to navigate all aspects of trauma, anxiety, AND depression regardless of their root causes.
Like everyone at Center for the Healing Arts, she has set aside a percentage of her practice for sliding fee scales as none of us want to turn away anyone because of finances in these difficult times. Hello all,
One of our service dogs is being returned to us because his handler cannot care for him any longer. He is a Shepard/lab mix, very well trained and a sweet sweet boy. He is about 5 years old. Please share if you know someone who might be interested in him as a pet not a service dog. Application and Home inspectons will be required. He will not be given for free but payment is negotiable
