🧠 Your brain runs on balance.
Two of the most important neurotransmitters in the nervous system are glutamate and GABA.
⚡ Glutamate = the accelerator
It stimulates brain activity, nerve signaling, and muscle activation.
🧘 GABA = the brake
It calms the nervous system, helping with relaxation, stress regulation, and sleep.
Your body needs both — but more importantly, it needs them in balance.
When the nervous system becomes overwhelmed by stress, injury, inflammation, or poor communication between the brain and body, that balance can shift. This may show up as:
• Anxiety or feeling “wired”
• Poor sleep
• Brain fog
• Muscle tension
• Stress sensitivity
This is where nervous system support matters.
Chiropractic care focuses on improving communication between the brain and body through the spine and nervous system. When spinal motion and nerve signaling improve, the nervous system can better regulate itself — helping restore the natural balance between excitatory signals (glutamate) and calming signals (GABA).
The goal isn’t forcing the body to do something.
It’s removing interference so the nervous system can regulate itself the way it was designed to.
Balance in the nervous system supports balance in the body.
