Craft time isn’t just cute, it’s purposeful! ✂️🎨

This snowman face activity is a great example of how play-based therapy supports real developmental goals. While creating their snowman, our kids are working on:

🖐️ Fine motor skills: Drawing, grasping markers, and placing pieces help strengthen hand muscles and coordination.
👀 Visual-motor integration: Lining up facial features builds visual planning and spatial awareness.
🗣️ Language development: Naming body parts, describing steps, and making choices encourages expressive language and sequencing.

When we co-founded More Than Speech in 2019, our vision was simple: to create a place where therapy feels personal, playful, and full of heart. We had seen how overwhelming and impersonal the process could feel for families, and we wanted to change that.

At More Than Speech, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and engaged. Every session is designed to feel meaningful and fun, helping children build confidence, communication, and independence that carry into everyday life.

Winning the would allow us to expand our specialty programs in feeding therapy, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) so we can continue helping families in the Orlando community who need it most.
