Beads and bling are definitely a Watercrest Winter Park Mardi Gras tradition! We let the good times roll last month by crowning our king and eating delicious king cake. 🎭

The excitement continued with a musical at The Shakes in Orlando, where we even met the cast! We also enjoyed engaging lectures by University of Central Florida Professor Dr. Bush and an Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens presentation. We wrapped up the incredible week with Park Avenue shopping, sweet treats at The Glass Knife, dancing with SB the Anomaly, and relaxing with Tai Chi in the courtyard.

We really like to stay busy around here! 💙

We packed a lot of love into Valentine's week at Watercrest Winter Park! ❤️

A Crumbl cookie run with Memory Care, a visit to The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, Valentine-making and love soap crafts, plus happy hour with Reuben serenading the room! Then came our Valentine’s tea with a surprise Willie Nelson guest appearance, and we wrapped it up by crowning our Valentine’s Prince, Queen, and King. Safe to say, love was definitely in the air around here!

On Thursday, February 26th, at 3:30 pm, residents, families, and neighbors will assemble care packages and write heartfelt letters for service members while they are deployed and after they return home.💙

The momentum is definitely strong at Watercrest!

We have been all over the place lately: We hit the lanes at Aloma Bowling Center and danced in the street with S.B. Anomoly. We found our center with Tai-Chi in the courtyard led by Master Instructor Tony Garcia. We also rocked the house during social hour with Francesca Tarantino and explored the Rollins Museum of Art. We wrapped it all up with a Super Bowl Brunch with family and friends. What a week it was! 🏈

We went full "Roaring 20’s," and our residents committed to the bit! Hats and pearls came out, the photo backdrop stayed busy, and more than a few people got “booked” for having too much fun.

Declan played officer for the day, handed out lighthearted "citations," and somehow managed to “let everyone off” so the evening could carry on as if nothing happened. What a night! 😄📸🚓

We’ve been on the go at Watercrest Winter Park lately!

Our Memory Care residents recently enjoyed a fun outing to the SEA LIFE Aquarium in Orlando. Back at the community, the calendar stayed just as full: birthday celebrations, lunch outings, and plenty of reasons to move and smile. We even had chair-dancing with S.B., the Anomaly, followed by happy hour where couples and friends enjoyed live jazz with local musician Glen Listort.

Safe to say… we’re never bored! 💃🌟

“I am so fortunate to do something I truly love, and compassion and kindness guide me every day.” Joann Braswell at Watercrest Winter Park embraces her core value Compassion each day, sharing: “After losing both of my parents to Alzheimer’s and dementia, giving back through patient care is my calling. If I can get a smile from a resident, I know it’s going to be a good day.”

We love showing up for our Watercrest family and did most recently at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando supporting "Stars of the Spectrum."

We were there to cheer on our Mobility & Balance Instructor and Speech Therapist, Mindy's son. He absolutely brought the house down with his rapping and energy... The crowd loved him! To top it all off, we got to see a special performance by America’s Got Talent winner Kodi Lee! 🌟🎤🎸
