So many times we have expectations of how we want to feel in pregnancy and postpartum. We are told to be happy, to be greatful, that we are lucky.

Those are all amazing feelings and I hope that you do experience those things BUT it’s also okay to feel scared, sad, or angry.

ALL FEELINGS ARE VALID! And you are allowed to feel multiple emotions at the same time!

You are not ungrateful if you feel like pregnancy is hard. You are allowed to mourn if your birth didn’t go to plan, EVEN IF you and baby are doing physically okay.

So here is your reminder that it is okay to have all of the feelings.

This is literally my favorite suggestion for new parents. The crying can be so hard to handle and quality ear buds make such a big difference.
Loops are also a good option if you don’t want the extra sensory input.
