Dr. Antoniu, originally from Bucharest, Romania, is a general dentist with a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She received a DMD degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2004 and a Certificate from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2005 after completing a general practice residency. Dr. Antoniu was on the faculty of Boston University where she worked as a Clinical Instructor of General Dentistry with pre-doctoral students. While in Boston, she also worked as a general dentist in the faculty practice at Boston University and in a small suburban private practice treating children and adults. In 2008 Dr. Antoniu moved back to California and accepted a position as the Dental Director and practicing dentist with Winters Healthcare Foundation. Dr. Antoniu’s philosophy of care is to treat each patient as a distinct individual taking into consideration their unique personality, specific dental needs and desired outcome. What she brings to her practice is a blend of evidence based science combined with a good old fashioned common sense. Dr. Antoniu’s ultimate goal is to create healthy smiles with a gentle touch, with patients’ comfort as her main priority. Dr. Antoniu is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and Sacramento Dental Society. She is fluent in Spanish, French and Romanian. Outside of the office, she is a devoted mother, enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
