I’m Tarah Mancl, owner and primary yoga teacher of The Wellness Barn Studio. I am a Board Certified Health Coach and member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I take a holistic approach to Health Coaching that includes nutrition, physical activity and movement, stress reduction and mindfulness, and strengthening of the mind + body connection. This approach is informed by my personal experiences, training in Integrative Nutrition, and study of behavioral cognitive therapies. When we work together, we won’t just focus on what you eat. We’ll carefully examine all the elements that contribute to your wellness, identify goals, and find sustainable methods that work for you. I want everyone to know that transformation is possible and true wellness is accessible. I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding. I am dedicated to improving the health and wellness of my clients and my community.

A month to slow down, listen deeply, and reclaim the spaces between.

December arrives wrapped in contrast — the busiest month of the year, yet also the month that invites the deepest stillness. As the world speeds up, you are being guided to slow down. To soften. To carve out intentional breath inside a season that often forgets to breathe at all.

The Sacred Pause asks:
How can you move more slowly in a month that tries to rush you?
What would it look like to embody slowness… to choose presence… to honor your own inner pace?

It isn’t about stopping everything.
It’s about interrupting the automatic, even for a moment —
a breath before the “yes,”
a softening before the reaction,
a settling before the next step.

This month, every class becomes a sanctuary for that pause.
A place where students (and you) can tune into their own rhythm rather than the rhythm of the season.

🌙 What does the Sacred Pause look like for you?

Closing November’s Grounded in Gratitude + Welcoming December’s Theme: 🌲 The Sacred Pause

As we close out our month of Grounded in Gratitude, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the warmth, presence, and energy each of you brought into the studio this month. Every breath, every shared practice, every moment of grounding together has been a gift — and I am truly grateful for you.

Now, as we step into December, we welcome a new monthly theme:

🌲 December Yoga Theme:
The Sacred Pause 🌲

A month to slow down, breathe deeper, and return to what truly matters.

December invites us into a powerful seasonal shift — a natural quieting, a softening, a settling of the energy around and within us. While the world speeds up with holidays and overflowing schedules, nature models something different: stillness, reflection, and intentional rest.

The Sacred Pause is your invitation to honor that rhythm.

A reminder that:
✨ Healing happens in the spaces between
✨ Clarity arrives when we stop forcing and start listening
✨ Who we become in the new year begins with how we care for ourselves now

This month, let your practice be your refuge —
a space to unclench,
a moment to breathe before the next becoming,

As we move into the cozy stillness of November, our monthly focus invites us to slow down and root deeply into appreciation. Gratitude has a powerful way of grounding the body, softening the mind, and opening the heart — reminding us of all that is already abundant in our lives.

Each Thursday this month, our themed yoga classes will weave together breathwork, mindful movement, and reflection centered around a specific gratitude focus:

✨ Gratitude for the Body — honoring our strength, flexibility, and the way our bodies carry us through every season.
