Best Place to Be, Inc. is looking for a kind, caring, motivated person or family to further our vision of providing wonderful, family-style care to residents in the Wisconsin Rapids area.
Company mission:
Best Place to Be, Inc. strives to bring the “family” back into Adult Family Homes. Community is essential to live a successful adult life; Best Place to Be works diligently to get our residents integrated into the community as independently as possible, while keeping safety for the residents at the forefront. We provide “family-style” care to adults that need some support.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain a clutter-free, clean home

Keep a peaceful atmosphere

Provide three healthy meals a day

Maintain Resident and Adult Family Home records

Properly organize medications and follow medication procedures

Provide transportation when necessary- either driving or setting up cab times

Schedule doctor appointments and coordinate transportation (whether cab, family, or taking the resident)

Keep in contact with doctors and nursing staff

Help the residents to live as independently as possible

Possible hands-on, personal care

Skills needed (training is provided):

Patience

Kindness

Organization skills

Cleanliness

Caregiver Training (will be provided) and on-going continuing education

Maintaining relationships and contact with guardians, family, doctors, nursing staff, and Best Place to Be affiliations

This is a very unique position. We are looking for a kind, organized person, that loves to help people.

We have four adult family homes, which are family based living facilities. We provide 24 hour family care for the elderly, dementia, Alzheimer's, physically disabled, and mentally disabled adults. Care includes assistance with daily and personal cares, healthy meals in a family setting, assistance with diabetic needs, transportation to appointments, 7-step medication safety protocol, and a warm, loving home. Each location has private bedrooms and some have private half baths.
