📢 Marshfield Office Update!

Our new office space in Marshfield is coming along nicely! Drywall has been hung and construction is continuing to move forward. We’re excited to see everything take shape as we get closer to opening our doors.

Frequently Asked Questions

📅 When are you opening?
Our tentative opening date is April 13, 2026, and construction currently appears to be on track for that date barring any unforeseen issues.

📞 How do I schedule an appointment at the Marshfield office?
Simply call 715-424-1881 to schedule an appointment with our team.

🏥 Can I be seen before the Marshfield location opens?
Yes! If you’d like to be seen sooner, you can still call and schedule an appointment at our Wisconsin Rapids office to meet our providers and establish care. Future visits can then be transitioned to the Marshfield location once it opens.

💳 Will you accept my insurance?
Insurance coverage depends on your specific plan, but the insurances accepted at our Wisconsin Rapids location will be the same at our Marshfield office.

📋 Do I need a referral?
No referral is required from a primary care provider unless your insurance plan specifically requires one.

🩻 Will you have imaging available on-site?
We will not have imaging at the Marshfield location. If imaging is needed, our providers will place an order and you will be able to choose where you would like to have it done (such as your PCP’s office if available or a local hospital).

Big things are happening in Marshfield!!

We are excited to share that our new location will offer podiatry and general orthopedics, bringing expert care closer to home for patients in the Marshfield area.

Dr. Sorensen will be providing podiatry services, including comprehensive foot and ankle care.

Dr. Duellman, Dr Smedberg and Dr. Walter will be spending time in Marshfield every month, offering general orthopedic care for injuries, joint pain, sports medicine needs, and more.
Our goal is simple: improve access to high-quality orthopedic care without the extra travel.

And the space is really starting to take shape! Drywall is going up this week, and it’s exciting to see the vision becoming reality. We’re sharing a few updated construction photos so you can follow along with the progress.

Patients take great comfort in the fact that we are the longest-established orthopaedic practice in the area, having served the community for almost 40 years. Drs. James A. Wilkes, James A. Johnson, Douglas P. Galuk, and Todd J. Duellman provide comprehensive orthopaedic surgical care. Our physicians have many years of experience and expertise in all areas of orthopaedics, including joint replacement, spine and sports medicine. They have treated thousands of patients with great results. Though our facility is every bit as professional as you would expect, it also has a homey, comfortable feeling, thanks in large part to our very personable doctors and staff.
