Tips for Maintaining Healthy Feet 👣

• Proper Footwear: Choose shoes that fit well and provide the right support. Keep in mind—different activities call for different shoes. What works for running isn’t always ideal for a full day at work.

• Foot Hygiene: Wash your feet daily, dry them thoroughly (especially between the toes), and change your socks each day to help prevent infections.

• Stay Active: Regular movement keeps both your body and feet healthy. Don’t forget to stretch your feet and ankles before and after exercise.

• Manage Your Weight: Maintaining a healthy weight reduces excess pressure on your feet and can help prevent common foot problems.

Taking small steps each day can make a big difference in your overall foot health! 👟

Your feet are the foundation of your body—supporting your weight, absorbing shock, and helping you move through your day. Taking care of them with proper footwear, regular stretching, and good hygiene can go a long way in preventing pain and injury.

Foot pain often worsens throughout the day due to prolonged standing, walking, or wearing unsupportive shoes. This can lead to strain on the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Supportive footwear, stretching, and rest can help relieve discomfort—but if pain persists, it’s a good idea to have it evaluated.

Our Story

Patients – and the doctors who refer them – like the fact that everything they need is right here, including a fully accredited onsite surgery center with state-of-the-art technology, open MRI, plus physical and occupational therapy. Most of all, patients prefer our personalized, one-on-one care. You see your own doctor at every visit, and your doctor and our staff are just a phone call away when you need help. It adds up to an outstanding patient experience. Patients take great comfort in the fact that we are the longest-established orthopaedic practice in the area, having served the community for almost 40 years. Drs. James A. Wilkes, James A. Johnson, Douglas P. Galuk, and Todd J. Duellman provide comprehensive orthopaedic surgical care. Our physicians have many years of experience and expertise in all areas of orthopaedics, including joint replacement, spine and sports medicine. They have treated thousands of patients with great results. Though our facility is every bit as professional as you would expect, it also has a homey, comfortable feeling, thanks in large part to our very personable doctors and staff.
