Happy new year to everyone, from BG Speech Therapy! What a year it has been! 2024 was my first full year of working full time in BG Speech Therapy and I could not be more thankful 💛 I have had the opportunity to do what I love and work with so many amazing children and families! I love a good mouth model! But you know what is even more useful in my opinion… a TONGUE model to go along with it! Teaching anatomical vocabulary and locations of not only the mouth, but the separate parts of the tongue is super important in therapy dealing with speech sound disorders. Children need to know what each part of the tongue and mouth is called in order to understand cuing and placement for their target sounds. So… cue the tongue model! 👅👄🦷😁
