Today we celebrated Thai New Year (Songkran) with the memory care residents and assisted living residents together. The festivities began with an exciting Thai boxing demonstration to introduce everyone to the power and discipline of Muay Thai, Thailand’s national sport by Dave and Rob. A beautiful traditional Thai dance followed, performed gracefully by Ann, the memory care director, across the floor in a shimmering gold costume while wearing the elegant long gold finger decorations that made the movements look even more spectacular and refined. The residents watched with delight, smiling and clapping as Thai culture came alive through the performance. After the performance, the residents enjoyed delicious Thai food together. Everyone loved the celebration, enjoyed the high-energy start and the graceful dance, and left with beautiful memories of a joyful, culturally rich day together. It was a truly heartwarming occasion filled with laughter and appreciation.❤️❤️
