Last Friday was a bittersweet day for us at Lightwork as we bid farewell to sunshine in human form: our beloved Sami! As Sami moves on from her time here at Lightwork to her next adventure, we will miss her so much but are so excited for all the amazing things she will continue to accomplish in her next chapter.

Loved by her fellow staff and our wonderful clients alike, Sami is best known for her incredible compassion for others, hilarious sense of humor, and her uncanny ability to make you feel like you’re the only and most important person in the world when you’re talking to her.

Sami joined lightwork from the very earliest days and we are so grateful to have had her help us define and build the program that lightwork is today over the past two and a half years. Her legacy of deep compassion and lightheartedness will continue on! We will miss her beautiful smiling face at both our locations, but we can’t help but be so happy for her as she takes the next step on her journey. WE LOVE YOU SAMI!ā˜€ļøšŸ¤šŸ‘‘

If you’ve been avoiding something, there’s probably a good reason. Your brain is trying to keep you safe, even if the strategy isn’t helping in the long run.

Avoidance doesn’t always seem obvious. Sometimes it’s putting things off, staying in your comfort zone, or telling yourself ā€œnow isn’t the right time.ā€

But over time, it can quietly limit what you experience and what you believe you’re capable of.

Real change doesn’t come from pushing yourself too hard. It comes from small, intentional moments of doing things differently.

When emotions feel overwhelming, it can be hard to think clearly or respond the way you want to. That’s where T.I.P.P. skills come in!

These tools are helpful in moments of high distress, allowing your body to calm down so your mind can follow.

Happy first day of spring!! 🌼

Spring can bring a lot of pressure to feel motivated, refreshed, or ā€œback on trackā€ā€¦ but healing doesn’t work on a seasonal timeline.

If all you have the capacity for right now is starting again… gently, imperfectly, and one small step at a time…that is more than enough.

Starting again might look like getting out of bed when it feels hard. It might look like setting one boundary, reaching out for support, or simply choosing to try again after a tough day. You don’t need a full transformation to be making progress. You just need willingness.

Let this be your reminder:
You are allowed to begin again as many times as you need. Let’s head into this season with compassion, patience, and a little more grace for ourselves ✨
