Here we go again! With the impending winter storm, the office will be closed tomorrow, Monday 2/23. A provider will remain available by phone throughout the day for urgent concerns. Patients with scheduled visits will be contacted to reschedule. Stay warm!

Our office is open this holiday weekend! Saturday and Sunday we are open for normal weekend hours, 9:00-12:30. Please call for an appointment. We will also be open on Monday, President’s Day, from 9-12:30 for sick visits! Enjoy the long weekend!

We’re staying in and staying warm! Due to the winter storm, and for the safety of our patients and staff, the office will close for the morning on Monday 1/26. We were out for a while but just got more flu vaccine back in the office! We have shots and mist available. Flu activity in the state is VERY high right now and it is not too late to get the vaccine if you haven’t yet! Call the office to schedule if you’d like to get your child in for the vaccine.

Please note our holiday hours for the rest of this week! We will be open for a half day on 12/24, and the office will close for the day on 12/25. We are open for normal hours on Friday 12/26! As always, a provider will remain available by phone for all urgent concerns while the office is closed. Wishing our patients and families a restful holiday season!

Dual celebrations today at Dowd! On our designated “ugly sweater day” we also had lunch to celebrate Dr Sachs’ 25 years of stellar service, on the eve of her upcoming retirement! Congratulations to Dr Sachs! Thank you for all of your work for our patients and enjoy your retirement!

We hope all our families had a restful Thanksgiving holiday, and we extend our thanks to patient families and staff who donated to our food drive this month. We were able to drop off a carful of donations to the Woburn Council of Social Concern on Tuesday! Thank you to all!

While our staff takes time to rest and spend time with their families this holiday, a quick reminder of our hours for this week. Thursday November 27 the office will be CLOSED for visits, however a provider will be available by phone for urgent concerns. Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will be open for sick visits from 9:30am-12:30pm, with an on-call provider available by phone when the office is closed. We are wishing our patients and families a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

In this season of Thanksgiving, we give thanks to childhood vaccines that keep our kids healthy, as well as the AAP and Massachusetts Department of Public Health for continuing to provide evidence based information about vaccines.
