Dr. Shivanna Subramani-Gonzalez, DNP, FNP-C, and her husband Jeff Gonzalez found themselves with the kind of conundrum every business owner hopes to have. Their approach to integrated, holistic healthcare at The Modern Woman Health and Wellness Center was so popular that they needed to grow the business. The TMW team connected with Connecticut Small Business Development Center's Denise Whitford to find the funding and make the strategic moves they needed to grow the business sustainably. From preparing loan documents to hiring a fractional CFO, Denise was there to help this innovative and award-winning Wolcott-based practice grow its revenue by an expected 150% in 2025.

This year, TMW Healthcare was honored to partner with the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board (NRWIB), a leader in supporting Connecticut’s workforce. Through their generous grant programs and Workforce Retention initiatives, we expanded our perinatal and doula services, providing specialized training for our therapists and working to integrate doula support into care. We enhanced clinical services with professional-grade supplements and evidence-based nutrition counseling, improved operational efficiency through AI-assisted documentation and workflow standardization, and strengthened our team by hiring additional clinicians and staff while supporting competitive compensation.

Thanks to NRWIB’s investment, we have been able to broaden access to comprehensive, integrated care in primary care, gynecology, and mental health, delivering high-quality services that support women at every stage of life.
