Employee Appreciation Day — Employee Winter Games!

Games included office nordic glide, chair-ling championship (curling), shoot-out challenge, office marksman open and trashket-ball throw down. We ended the day on a high note with a medal ceremony and ice cream floats!

We’re so grateful for our amazing Huggins Family and all the hard work that they put in each day!

MRI Update!

Exciting progress is happening here at Huggins. Our new Ambient Experience MRI was delivered Monday, marking a major milestone in the project. Construction is still underway as crews put the finishing touches on the space and we are on track for completion by the end of the month.

The Ambient Experience MRI is designed to create a more calming environment for patients through soothing visuals, sounds and lighting, helping make the imaging experience more comfortable.

This MRI expansion project was made possible through the generous support of the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation, and we are incredibly grateful for their commitment to enhancing the quality and accessibility of care in our community.

Thank you to our patients, staff and community for your patience during construction. We are excited to offer this expanded and enhanced service very soon!

Congratulations to Jeremy, our CEO! Well deserved!!!

Huggins Hospital CEO Jeremy Roberge recognized among Becker’s Top CEOs to Know

WOLFEBORO — Huggins Hospital President & CEO Jeremy Roberge was recently featured in Becker Hospital Review’s list of top Critical Access Hospital President and CEOs to Know list. The list highlights leaders who have a steadfast commitment to patient safety, excellence, financial stability, expanding service lines and strengthening care in their communities. Becker’s Hospital Review develops the list based on nominations and editorial research.
“I am deeply honored to once again receive this recognition from Becker’s,” said Roberge. “This is a reflection of our employees, leadership and community partners who work every day to ensure the strength of Huggins Hospital. Our combined effort ensures the availability of quality healthcare in our rural communities.”
Under the leadership of Roberge, Huggins Hospital has continued to maintain financial strength and grow service lines for the community. Over the past few years, Huggins Hospital has expanded access to Primary Care and Orthopedics and has added new services including Cancer Care. This spring, Huggins Hospital will also be announcing expanded MRI service with a new Ambient Experience MRI machine located at the hospital. This new MRI machine will allow more days for MRI service and new technology that reduces movement in MRI images along with soothing visuals, lights and sounds.
“Through hard work and dedication to our community, we have maintained our financial strength in a way that allows us to also grow services,” said Roberge. “With this strength, we plan to continue to be an independent hospital so we can always focus on the needs of our community as our top priority.”
Roberge has earned recognition on multiple lists from Becker’s Hospital Review over the years. Earlier in 2025, Huggins Hospital was named the Best Small Hospital by NH Business Review in their Best of Business Awards.

Thank you Huggins Hospital for welcoming our Carroll County Community Action Resource Coordinator onsite to connect with patients and community members yesterday.

Access to community resources, just like quality medical care, plays an important role in overall well-being, and we were grateful for the opportunity to support individuals and families alongside the incredible care provided at Huggins.

We enjoyed a pick-up hockey game with our staff (and a few family members) today followed by an open skate for our employees and family as well! Our hockey players included a few members of our Senior Leadership Team, Medical Staff and employees representing many departments including IT, our ED and Provider Offices as well as Food & Nutrition and Quality! The Blue Team beat the White Team this time around.

Congratulations to Intensive Care Unit Nurse, Nicole Keirstead, RN, CCRN, for being nominated and chosen as our most recent DAISY Award recipient!

One patient who nominated Nicole said: “She always had a smile. Nicole checked in on me even when I didn’t ring. She made sure I ate all 3 meals and even if I was asleep, she would order me food.” This patient shared that they do not typically do things like this but felt compelled to nominate Nicole because of the exceptional care she provided.

We are lucky to have Nicole as a member of our Huggins Family!

Congratulations to Nicole for her DAISY Award honor. If you would like to nominate a Huggins Hospital nurse for a DAISY Award, you can fill out a nomination form in the Main Lobby of the hospital or fill out the form online here: www.daisynomination.org/4271
