Huggins Hospital Huggins’ vision is to be the community’s home for health and wellbeing and our mission is to empower the fulfillment of life through better health.

Huggins Hospital is a non-profit community hospital located in Wolfeboro, NH. We are the preferred provider of primary, secondary, and specialty health care services in the region. Huggins provides medical services to the region’s year-round population of 30,000 residents and approximately 120,000 seasonal residents and visitors who come from all over the world to enjoy the Lakes Region.

Last week, our Huggins Hospital teams came together for the Annual Quality Fair!
Departments from across the organization showcased their quality improvement projects from the past year—highlighting innovation, collaboration and dedication to patient care.

It was a day full of great conversations, shared ideas, a little friendly competition, lots of laughter, data-driven displays, raffles and more! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success!

We are excited to announce that Huggins Hospital's Chief Medical Officer, Barry Gendron, DO, MBA, CPE, was awarded the New Hampshire Hospital Association Medical Staff Award at this year's NHHA Annual Meeting! Dr. Gendron was the recipient of the award for outstanding service to his hospital and community. Below is a snippet of Dr. Gendron's award dedication:

He champions the voices of nurses, physicians and all caregivers, fostering an environment rooted in mutual respect and accountability. Congratulations to Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse, Jamie Eschbach, RN for being nominated and chosen as our most recent DAISY Award recipient!

One patient who nominated Jamie said: “Jamie handled a sensitive situation with grace. She used her nurse judgement to advocate for her patient. Her advocating for the patient and their symptoms lead to discovery that would not have been made without Jamie. The patient was able to receive the care she needs.”

We are lucky to have Jamie as a member of our Huggins Family!
