Grato Holdings is celebrating Curtis Lind’s 1-year anniversary on November 18. Curtis is currently a Sales Specialist at our Iowa facility, and he says his favorite thing about sales is getting to know all the customers and helping them meet their needs with quality products. Curtis resides in Woodbine, IA with his wife Diana and their children, Katelyn, 15-years old and Logan, 10-years old. In his free time, Curtis enjoys walking his dog Kobe, watching sports and coaching. He also enjoys playing games with friends and family, especially Co****le.

Grato Holdings is celebrating Roy Hinds Jr’s 2-year anniversary on November 13. Roy currently works as a Process Operator in the Large Tank Extractions area and says his favorite part of his job is the ability to work together as a team and introduce new ideas to make the process more efficient. Roy and his wife Sade enjoy hanging with their two Great-Grand Daughters, Lola 3-years old and 2-year old Laiken. As well as their Grand Kids, Savannah 29-years old and Cody 18-years old, and their daughter, Chrissy. In Roy’s spare time, he enjoys playing bass guitar, singing in a band of local Gainesville musicians, as well as working on home projects and spending time with his wife.

Grato Holdings is celebrating Doris Solberg’s 6-year anniversary on November 4. Doris is currently a Production Operator and says while she can operate all the machines in her department, she truly enjoys running the press, as it always keeps her busy. Doris resides in Moorhead with her fiancé Wesley Bonham. She has a daughter, Sidney, a son Braiden and grandson, Sterling. Doris enjoys spending time with her family and most weekends she and Wesley take her grandson to the park and the Children Museum. Generally, she likes staying outdoors, but these days some of her free time is spent planning the wedding.

Grato Holdings is celebrating Dr. Erik Bland’s 5-year anniversary on October 26. Dr. Bland is currently a Research Scientist based at our Georgia facility and previously held the position of Analytical Chemist. Dr. Bland says he enjoys working with the GA Site Manager and Lab Manager to brainstorm R&D improvements to Lab operations. These improvements include streamlining finished products, ethanol testing methods, and the coordination of sample testing between GA and IA labs which includes electronic data and reporting and lab sample submission recordkeeping. Dr. Bland resides in Oakwood, Georgia with his significant other, Keriann. Dr. Bland enjoys Tai Chi, hiking, biking, continued learning and personal development.

Grato Holdings is celebrating Russell Jackson’s 7-year anniversary on October 22. Russell currently works in the Quality Control department as a Quality Control Technician. Russell’s favorite part of working for Grato Holdings is getting to work with all the different departments. Russell enjoys golfing, playing trivia, attending concerts, and watching sports. Russell’s favorite teams are the Kansas State Wildcats and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Grato Holdings is celebrating Barb Smithson’s 20-year anniversary on October 10. Barb is a Quality Assurance Specialist based in Gainesville, Georgia. Barb previously held the positions of Herbal Production Technician, Packaging Tech and Packaging Team Lead and Quality Control Technician. However, Barb says she really enjoys being a part of the Quality Assurance team. Barb is originally from Iowa, but resides in Lula, Georgia with her husband Keith. They have two Son’s, Tyler and Garrett and three Granddaughters. Barb enjoys spending time in her log cabin, baking, cooking, spending time with her husband, gardening, and camping. Barb says she can’t wait to see her Granddaughters soon.

Gabe previously held the positions of Validation Specialist, Quality Supervisor, and Quality Manager. Gabe’s favorite thing about his job is seeing the growth of the company and individuals over the years. Gabe resides outside of Woodbine with his wife, Jenny and their three children, Easton, 14-years old, Joelle, 14-years old and Mayson, 10-years old. Gabe enjoys fishing, home improvement, and woodworking.

Josh currently works as a Production Technician in the Specialty Department and says he loves being able to be myself and being a part of a company that feels like family. Josh resides in Woodbine, Iowa with his wife, Sarah and their children; Jude, 10 years old; Jayla; 9 years old; Silas, 4 years old and Stella, 2 years old. Josh likes to turn things in his head into art in various forms, such as 3D prints, music, and photography.

Gary currently works as a Production Technician in the Homeopathic and Specialty Department and states that he does a little of everything in the department. Gary’s favorite part of working for Grato Holdings are the people he gets to work with; Brooke, Brandy, Jessi, Anne, Dawn and Josh. Gary resides in Harlan, Iowa with his wife, Vickey and his daughter, Whitney. Gary enjoys fishing and working outside of his home.

Grato Holdings is celebrating Dr. Wilfred Otang Mbeng’s 1-year anniversary on August 26. Dr. Otang Mbeng, affectionately knowns “Dr. Wilfred”, currently works in the Georgia Lab as a Botanist and Data Analyst. Dr. Wilfred says the favorite part of his job is plant identification using microscopy and FT-IR and the classification of plant species using random forest. Dr. Wilfred resides in Pendergrass, Georgia with his wife, Emiline Otang and their three children, Nicolette: 19-years old, Chris: 17-years old and David: 11-year-old. Dr. Wilfred enjoys spending his free time shopping and playing Table Tennis.
