Not all energy sources are created equal.

These specific carbohydrates are fuel for your growing family. They actively contribute to placental growth and are rich in folate.

For some people, proper folate absorption requires a different approach. Choosing whole grains and fresh vegetables ensures high-quality support for your foundation. ✨

What simple swap for these staples will you make this week?

The Serenity Body Butter is a high-quality blend of organic, natural butters that provide lasting skin comfort.

Here are the ingredients that make it special:

🌼 Calendula – Soothes irritation and supports natural healing for radiant, calm skin. Perfect for sensitive or inflamed areas.

🌿 Comfrey – Rich in allantoin, it helps repair and renew skin cells, leaving skin soft, smooth, and nourished.

🍃 Plantain Leaf – A gentle detoxifier that draws out impurities and calms itchiness, promoting clear, balanced skin.

🥥 Shea Butter – Deeply moisturizes and seals in hydration while improving elasticity and protecting against dryness.

🌿 Folate (Natural Form)

It's important to look after your feelings, too.

I love Omega-3s because I have witnessed the impact on the birthing people I've helped. 🤍

Yes, they're healthy fats that help build your baby's nervous system and eyes beautifully. But they do so much more!

Getting enough Omega-3s is a great way to look after yourself, as they're linked to helping mothers feel happier and more balanced after the baby arrives. It's preventative self-care. ✨

Ensuring your body has the right fuel is crucial right now.

I recommend a goal of at least 80 grams of protein daily for you. Think of it as the ultimate building block for your baby and your own strength. It's the simplest way to support your beautiful growth. ✨

Took a small social media break to get my mental health together but I’m back!!! Can’t believe October is gone 😱 I’ve been celebrating the best holiday ever all month 🎃Midwifery school has been trying to take ya doula out ☠️but I’m learning to love the journey. Here’s a few pics to say goodbye to October and hello to November!
👋🏾
But in true Donna fashion- this is your reminder to take care of your mental health. Tis the season for seasonal depression and suic!de rates for children and teens are on the rise.
1. Get into nature more
2. Get into therapy and be open to mood stabilizing medications
3. Spend time in nature, vitamin D decreases because of the decrease in sunlight
4. Get your body moving- exercising has been shown to be 5x more beneficial in stabilizing mood than antidepressants
5. Get proper rest
Very soon gonna host a free virtual meditation, if you’d like to join comment “ME” below. 👇🏾

The best part of being a doula is when you continue to have great connections with people you’ve supported. It’s exciting to think about how I will truly have a birthing community as a midwife. When I get my birthing farm y’all can come have babies and get married!! So excited to be apart of special moment!!! Sending all the fertile energy your way so we can go all out this time 🤰🏽👩🏽‍🍼🐣 congrats again my love

Georgia’s birth was quite interesting. This was a second time mama who hired me because she wanted a different experience than with her first. Her first birth was an induction that was rushed, without a doula or birthing knowledge, and overall she didn’t have a great birthing experience. This time she needed another induction due to her history of high blood pressure, which was under control but her providers wanted to jump ahead of any issues. That evening they started her on cytotec (a pill that helps softens the cervix). by the morning they were talking about Pitocin although she had already been contracting lightly. I suggested she held off until I arrived. Luckily she listened because within 30 mins of my arrival she went into active labor. After and hour she asked her options for pain medications, we came up with a plan and I asked her to give me an hour before she finalized that decision. Chiiiiiiilllllllllddddddddd- the decision was made for her. Sade went to the bathroom to p*e and it was 0-100 from there. 💨 Georgia was almost a toilet baby!! We got her back in the bed, midwife confirmed she was 10cm (she was only 3 last they checked) and she pushed and BAM 💥 Georgia was born. She looked at me and said Donna you tricked me- that was wild 🤣I really had a natural birth 🙌🏽! Yes ma’am you did. 👏🏼🎉🎂2nd vaginal birth babies generally come more quickly than the 1st but she was so surprised how quickly her body responded and very happy she did not get the pitocin. Well are definitely gonna do a YouTube video that goes a little more into the fun details of her birth. Until then, congratulations to my family of 3 turning into a family of 4. Ps I had some bomb 💣 ass food after this birth
