We live in a culture that rewards speed.
Hustle. Productivity. Doing more.
So much so that many of us have internalized the belief:
“If I slow down… I’ll fall behind.
I’ll lose momentum.
I’ll fail.”
So the body adapts.
Tight jaw.
Hunched shoulders.
Racing thoughts.
Constant urgency.
And over time, that urgency stops being a response…
and becomes your baseline.
This is what it means to live outside your window of tolerance—
the space where your nervous system can actually process, feel, and function.
Instead, your body stays in a quiet state of stress.
Always on.
Always bracing.
Always managing.
Because stillness?
Stillness means feeling what you’ve been moving too fast to notice.
But here’s the truth:
Urgency is learned.
And what is learned… can be gently unlearned.
Not through forcing better routines.
Not through trying harder to “relax.”
But through awareness.
Compassionate awareness.
Noticing what’s happening in your body—
where the tension lives
what it’s been protecting
how long it’s been there
And slowly, safely…
teaching your body that it’s okay to come out of survival mode.
✨ This is the kind of work we’re stepping into at IGNITE.
A space where you don’t have to rush your healing—
but actually learn how to feel safe in it.
