Your symptoms aren’t random – their information.
The body adapts when something isn’t functioning well, and those adaptations show up as pain, restriction, or compensation.
Using MAT, we identify which muscles aren’t doing their job and restore their ability to support movement. When the right muscles can engage again the body no longer needs to compensate.
That’s how function improves – from the ground up.

Awareness is the first step. Strengthening comes next… and you can do it all with Back to Barefoot.🦶

When a joint isn’t moving through its full range, the body has to adjust. Looking at this hip, notice how limited motion on one side affects the pelvis – and even the lumbar vertebrae. Tightness, soreness, or back discomfort? Often it’s just your body compensating.
Feet are the foundation of movement. If they aren’t providing clear feedback – weather from shoes that limit natural motion, weak muscles, or structural issues like overpronation or supination – hips can shift and your spine follows. Misaligned or unstable feet force your body to adapt higher up, which can create tightness, soreness, or even chronic discomfort. Smooth, supported movement starts from the ground up.

Car accidents don’t always leave broken bones – but they do leave bodies guarded, tight, and in pain.
This client was medically cleared to go home… Yet every day movement still hurt. His muscles were in full protection mode, doing their best to stabilize after trauma. The problem? That “protection” can become the source of ongoing pain.
After just one MAT session, his muscles were firing better, his body could then let go of the excessive tension and support him in the way it’s designed too. Less pain. Easier movement. A huge sense of relief.
If someone you know has been in an accident or had some type of fall and “everything checked out”, but they still don’t feel right – don’t ignore that. Muscles play a massive role in recovery.

Most people don’t have a foot problem. They have untrained feet that have been supported instead of strengthened.
Support isn’t bad – but support without strength creates dependence.
Your feet are designed to
*absorb force
*create stability
*adapt to the ground
*send information to the rest of your body
Shoes can’t replace that. They can only block or buffer it.
Foot training isn’t extra.
It’s foundational.
This is exactly what I teach inside my Back to Barefoot course – how feet are meant to function, how to transition safely, and how to actually strengthen them so your whole body benefits.
Stronger foundation = better movement everywhere.

Strong feet aren’t bought – they’re built.
Even small changes, done the right way, can make a big difference in how your feet – and the rest of your body – feel.
Back to barefoot shows you how to rebuild strength and move more comfortably step-by-step.

Resting positions reveal more than we realize. Even at rest, the body tells the truth. If this is where the feet are working from, what has to happen up the chain to accommodate? It all starts from the ground up.
Strengthen the foundation. Back to barefoot focuses on rebuilding foot strength from the ground up.

If you saw yourself in this list, trust that.
This course was created to be approachable, practical, and easy to move through – without needing to be “all in” or already barefoot.
You don’t need perfect feet.
You just need curiosity and willingness to learn how your body actually works.

What is MAT? Imagine your muscular system works like a sports team. Each player has a specific role within the team. If one player becomes injured, the remaining players need to step up and cover the injured player's position. They do this in addition to their own responsibilities. It can work, but over time the players wear down, become more prone to injury and eventually, if pushed too hard, will shut down.
Your body works in the same way. Each muscle is designed for a specific role working together to make the whole system work. When certain muscles are over-stressed, their ability to operate becomes compromised. The other muscles then tighten up to protect the body. This is called compensation. Over time it can lead to muscular imbalances, which are often the cause of fatigue, joint pain, instability and limited range of motion.
This is where MAT comes in. The focus of MAT is to identify and treat muscle weakness-not tightness. MAT helps to correct these muscle imbalances restoring normal body alignment, improving muscle function, and creating a foundation for optimal muscle strengthening and training, thereby, decreasing pain and reducing the risk of injury.
MAT can be beneficial for any and all! Whether you are a competitive athlete, someone who has an active daily lifestyle, trying to nurse an injury back to health or are just dealing with everyday “aches and pains” - MAT can help YOU!
