People ask me what I do?
Let me explain……
I’m a healer.
A healer is someone who facilitates, supports, or guides healing processes.
It is not a medical license.
It is not a claim to cure.
It is not a replacement for doctors or oncology care.
It’s a descriptive professional term — just like teacher, trainer, or therapist.
A teacher facilitates learning.
A trainer facilitates strength.
A therapist facilitates psychological integration.
A healer facilitates healing.
Healing and curing are not the same thing.
Curing is medical.
Healing is about regulation, restoration, integration, and helping the body feel safe enough to soften.
In my work with Reiki, I’m not forcing anything into the body.
I’m creating conditions where the nervous system can settle and the body can access its own healing capacity.
That’s the work.
So when I call myself a healer, I’m not elevating myself.
I’m accurately describing what I facilitate.
It’s linguistically accurate.
It’s professionally grounded.
And it’s contextually appropriate for the work I do.
And I stand in that with humility.
