Less than a week to go! I'm ready, how about you? If I can do it, l know you all can. Stayed in for 7 minutes this morning!
Thank you sooo much to Julie and Bay Saunas of Grosse lle. We were lucky to be able try out her new portable, self-contained sauna after we came out of the river. It was a perfect warm up after 7 minutes in 33-degree water! Julie and Bay Saunas will be onsite next Saturday as well so you all can warm up too!

Same time-same place. Flyer with all the information will be up in a few days.

Again, The LUCAS Foundation asks for the support of the community. We need raffle/basket items. Large items for raffle/auction. Donations, etc. All the work we do is to help law enforcement and their mental health. Please help us "Help Our Heroes."

A little bigger-a little better; all to raise awareness to the growing issue of law enforcement su***de.

With the help of Deputy Chief Andrew Starzec and S.A.C. Jared Murphey of H.S.I, we secured a hall, offered cocktails, breakfast, raffles, etc.

Faraz Javed from Channel 7 honored/supported us and even went into the water! 33 Degrees!!!!!!!

With the help of the Island Ice Dippers and Deputy Chief Andrew Starzec, we threw together what has become our annual LUCAS Foundation Polar Plunge.

50 brave people/heroes went into the water, almost 100 stood on shore to watch.

The inspiration for The LUCAS Foundation Annual Polar Plunge came on this day.

These photos were taken at Sunrise Park-the day after Lucas's funeral. In the photo with me are members of the Honor Guard who stood over him from the time his body arrived at the funeral home until his services were over.

All Heroes !!! Local and Atlanta Police officers. We had to break the ice away with a sledgehammer so they could get into the water. You can tell which ones are from Atlanta because they were not prepared for the cold!

We like to think he always helps create the most beautiful sunrise here! Started with the very first time we went there....
