Just a little reminder that you can always get the best infrared light exposure by going outside in the sun. There are so many benefits of being outside, and this is one of the biggest ones. Your mitochondria literally need infrared light exposure in order to work optimally. If you have your own infrared light machine at home, that’s great. But everyone can get infrared light simply by going outside.
Check the sun index on the weather app on your phone to see what hours are safe. If the index is 2 or less, you can stay outside for over an hour without getting burned. Even at levels up to 3-5, you can usually stay out for 30 minutes. At levels higher than 5, you do need to be extremely careful.
Notably, you need an Index of 3 or higher to produce any Vitamin D. But remember, you can always get infrared light, no matter what the index.
