As an animal communicator, Iโ€™ve learned that our pets are often carrying stories from their past that they simply cannot tell us in words. Their "quirks"โ€”like a sudden fear of a certain hat, or an unexplained reluctance to enter a specific roomโ€”are often echoes of their personal history.

A petโ€™s behavior isnโ€™t always about whatโ€™s happening in the "now." Whether they were a rescue with a difficult start or have been with you since they were a puppy or kitten, their ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐œ ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ or ๐ฉ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ž๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฌ shape how they see the world today.

In my work, I find that:

As an animal communicator, I recently had a very personal heart-to-heart with Maggie, a 5-year-old White Lab therapy dog. Her family was worried that her "distant" look meant she was feeling sad or burdened by the heavy emotions she encounters in her therapy work.

It's amazing how deeply connected we are to our pets. Did you know that your own stress, anxiety, or deep-seated fears can sometimes be mirrored in your dog or cat's behavior?

When you feel anxious, your pet often picks up on subtle shifts in your body language, tone of voice, and even your scent (thanks to cortisol, the stress hormone!). This can manifest in your pet as:
